I had mixed feelings about starting this book after reading reviews but I am so glad I chose to read it. great story and a highly immersive universe that really goes in to the technology and naval tactics and the thought process of the characters. some of the supporting characters are a little hard to distinguish between but the plot is excellent and keeps evolving and is belivable (obvious sci fi aspects not withstanding).

the narration isn't great, she tries do do voices for the characters and they are all terrible but you get used to it and just ignore it after a while.

I highly recommend this book if you like immersive world's and military sci fi

What about Jefferson Mays’s performance did you like?

The narration was perfectly fine. Not the most dramatic performance I have every heard but still very good.

Any additional comments?

This book really dragged me in and although it trails off a bit in the tail end it has loads of twists and turns and plot that keep the story interesting. I listened to it all very quickly.
