Good old fashioned detective work. characters feel relatable and the intelligence of DI Dixon is endearing.
love that it feels so familiar all these places and brands. certain phrases so British and comforting as most stuff out there is American and can seem so unrelatable. The British stuff doesn't always hold my attention like this series has grabbed me. would definitely recommend.

the story was good. A but irritating at first until I understood why AJ acted the way he did then my heart just broke for him. the narration is what I found irritating. the female voices were okish although even Chloe's voice could grate as it sounded like a teenager. AJ's voice from the female narrator was terrible. it made everything that came from him bizzare and not the least bit sexy. it just put me off him and I could never picture him as the swoon worthy character he was meant to be, he just sounded blah
I'd recommend reading this one not listening.

I've only ever listened not read these books and this narrator is so irritating I just could not go beyond chapter 6. She makes it sound childish which is not in sync with the story line . the males end up sounding like a joke the whole thing is just not worth my money, I wish I had returned it but kept it too long before listening to it. I wouldn't recommend. maybe if you tried reading the experience would be better. unfortunately I don't care enough to try.

the most non alpha, alpha character I've ever cone across. Author t should not have called her that, made a big production about it and should have just left it to our imagination would have been happy to call her diva princess in my head and left it at that. the food issue again another big production which soon became irritating.
the rest of the characters were vapid to say the least. I would read a book about Lewis though he was about the only character that piqued my interest. the narrator didn't do much for the book I'm sorry to say...would not recommend.

I downloaded these books a while back read one and abandoned them then when I read the second one I remembered why I had abandoned them. the storyline is not bad. the setting of it is where the problem lies. The female character I found irritating her backwards and forwards just did my head in. the male character well I couldn't make up my mind about him - sometimes he was alright other times I just didn't quite get what I needed from him. the whole ending to the saga was anti-climatic and again left me feeling is that It? the character that read him was flat with no change in intonation for different characters, the female narrater would have been better to read the whole book. Overall I felt dissatisfied by the whole thing.

The story was engaging but the narrator had a poor male voices which made the whole thing irritating to hear ; Lang was a sadist and his brutality often unfounded making it difficult to keep wanting to know what would happen next. I’m used to better from S. Sandlin thought I’d try something different by her, can’t say it was as good as the other series

It was a good book, not as outstanding as the Kathleen Turner series nice to see old friends. Would have liked dual POV throughout so to randomly introduce it at the end of this book three me a bit. That ending makes me anticipate book three - I'm not a fan of this love triangle thing the author likes it makes me not want to invest in any of the characters but that's just a personal preference. Would definitely recommend.
I guess as a foreign reader my only bed bug is the disrespect the character/author have for other countries and what they stand for but I guess freedom of speech and all that

I really enjoyed listening to this book. Although there were a few niggles when the author let China do some silly things or couldn't connect the dots which were seemingly obvious overall it was hilarious and China's personality was adorable and had me in chuckles quite a bit whilst driving or cooking! Roll on book 2!

This was the perfect story for Carrie, Terrie managed to give her her story that did justice to all the pain and suffering she'd had in the past. I was always a bit skeptic all about the relationship with Lorelei and Spencer but this brings it full circle. Loved it! Just a slight annoyance at the deliberate miscommunication issues but I must say they are least prominent in this book compared to the rest of the series
