I enjoyed this story. it did seem to get forgetful over the storyline (where the two friends on the out for a year, a few months, just the one month?) as it kept changing. but, it didn't detract from a good story, that allowed me to overlook that. I think the main body was good, but the end seemed quite rushed, as if trying to tidy up the loose ends needed to be done quickly? I'll still go and look for the next book in the series though!

I received a copy if this book in return for an honest review. The views are completely my own.

Aunt Tillie is on a rampage - what else is new, right? - and she's about to teach her nieces a lesson about messing with her. Bay and her cousins believe Aunt Tillie is a little too involved with her soap operas, so she curses them into a world that's one big soap opera...and it's one created in Aunt Tillie's convoluted mind. Prepare yourself for a world of underground cities, mobsters, over-sexed hospitals, and back-from-the-dead heroes and heroines...along with so much more. That's on top of Aunt Tillie, the diva of the story, who has not only an evil twin but an eviler one, too.

I love this book. I've read it many times. this is my first time hearing it. it sounds robotic. like a computer is reading it. not that great if I'm honest. think I'll stick to reading them, I laugh more that way.

Zachary has a dilemma. His girlfriend, Reese, has a special birthday coming up soon and he has absolutely no clue what to get for her. It doesn't help that Zach does not share or really understand Reese's biggest hobby - comic books, superheroes, and everything that goes with them. Zach raids Reese's DVD collection for inspiration, and what he finds there gives him an idea...possibly the best one he's ever had.

What made the experience of listening to A Different Kind of Cosplay the most enjoyable?

This was my first audible book in this genre and it was definitely different. It was easy to listen to and the story wasn't too complex.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Different Kind of Cosplay?

Given that Hawkeye is my favourite too, then it's easy to get why that particular section of the story was most memorable for me.

What about Xanthia Bloom’s performance did you like?

It wasn't rushed, it wasn't over played. It was a good, steady, performance that kept you engaged with the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

My first, but not my last in this genre I'm thinking

What did you like most about Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie She's Dead?

I love the story! Especially Grundleshanks :) It doesn't follow the route you think it will, which makes it interesting to both read, and listen to.

What other book might you compare Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie She's Dead to, and why?

Soeone tell aunt Tillie she's dead is the first book of this kind I've read so I can't really compare it to anything!

Which character – as performed by Marie Rose – was your favourite?

I know he's not a lead character but I love Gus :) He's such a fun guy you'd really like as a friend.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Don't mess with Aunt Tillie - she's a feisty old bird!

Any additional comments?

The narration was spot on and the wee changes in the script made it better. The characters were well represented. A really enjoyable listen :)
