I cannot describe how much I loved this trilogy, it is now one of my top book series! I loved every twist, I loved the characters, I loved the settings, I loved the story telling, suspense and surprises! I loved the narration - Aaron was perfect and I loved listening to his telling Jonas's side of his story and his love and passion for the love of his life. I don't want to spoil anything and give anything away but if you like hot, romantic suspense stories then this is a must for you! I will definitely be reading more of Gina's work in the future!

Wow this trilogy just gets better and better! Will try not to post any spoilers but basically this whole book is set in Paris which is such a great setting and I can feel and smell this amazing city through Gina's writing. Secrets are still being told and kept throughout this book and they keep you on the edge of your seat throughout, you just have no idea who is who and who you (or Julia) can trust! Phew I'm exhausted listening to this one it felt like a rollercoaster ride and you don't manage to get off at the end you have to follow onto the next and last book in the trilogy to (hopefully!) get your answers but I'm just betting they will be worth waiting for. I love a romance suspense but even this has me I constantly trying to guess the surprises before they come but also I want to be surprised. I wanted to hate some of the characters in this story (particularly Jonas) but I just can't, I feel like love is always driving him to do what he does, I just hope when we hear his side I'm proven correct.

Young and innocent, Julia Ellis has no idea what awaits her at the manor, where she is to become the nanny for Mr. Jonas Fairbanks, a ruthless, yet devastatingly handsome entrepreneur. Julia's only plan is to earn enough money to fund her studies of French cuisine in Paris. Julia falls in love with little Sidney, the 10-year-old daughter of Jonas, but can't help noticing the peculiar way the towns people talk of the little girl. An omen. The devil's spawn. Sidney is not the only young girl who will be groomed at the home of Mr. Fairbanks. What was taught as sinful, now, clouds her moral judgment of right and wrong. Julia fights with her innocence, giving into lust and a world all new to her.

This was a great story full of intrigue and secrets that you know are going to come out but you aren't quite sure what they are! I felt the story started a little slow but it made you fall in love with Julia and some of the side characters so I think the gradual build was necessary to keep you invested. I will say that you don't get the answers to any of your questions in this book so you will definitely need to listen on to the next story in this series otherwise it will drive you mad! There was just enough balance to the romance and sexy bits for me in relation to the story. Tracy Marks did a fantastic job of bringing all the characters voices to life with a bit of drama in all the right places! Can't wait to listen to the next one now.

This isn't my usual genre but I wanted to give historical romance a go and this is a great introduction! The story was perfect just what you would want and expect, very hot, masculine men and beautiful but feisty and strong women. I loved the progressing love story with the element of the mystical and enough momentum and action to keep me interested. The narration wasn't quite the quality I am used to but the story didn't suffer as a result. Would like to read more in this series.

What made the experience of listening to A Gentleman's Bidding the most enjoyable?

As a reader that loves Pride and Prejudice as well as new adult romances I found this book to be a beautiful blend of both genres. The storyline kept my interest throughout with some great twists and wonderful characters. I love my romance with a bit of angst and this was just the right amount to keep me reading whilst having a temporary tear in my heart for the characters. Emily, the green lady, was a wonderful heroine, strong and clever and beautiful, whilst James was perfectly deep, honourable and passionate. The side characters in this were a great added bonus being very valuable to the storyline whilst also keeping their integrity as having their own stories throughout which I loved! Overall this was an amazing story I will definitely read again and recommend to all.
