Suzanne Collins' epic trilogy was way more about death than food. Or at least this is what Bratniss Everclean discovers, when she leaves the comforts of Slum 12, Pandumb's garbage dump, to shortsightedly volunteer for a teenage death tournament. But she soon realizes there are fates worse than death...like weirdly having to date her fellow competitor, and lifelong stalker, Pita Malarkey. Okay, okay, it's not worse than DEATH, but it's still pretty annoying.

Its a pretty funny book, but the narrator sounds like a robot, and her accent is hard to understand.

Last book in the trilogy, but really a dissapointing end to a excellent series. The third instalment is poorly paced and at times very badly written with contradictions of things which were mentioned earlier. Leaves a few questions un answered, and with the ending we are given leaves you wondering what was the point of this book being written in the beginning, as it defeats itself in the point it was trying to make.....

Downloaded this had recently been to the countries she was travelling to, but its hardly impressive stuff and misses out most of the interesting sites in the area. However saying that, she does cover tikal (in some fashion) and the excellent ruins of copan. The thing that most annoyed me about this book was the constant reminder ever few minutes that your listening to patricia lawrence on audio journeys..... Highly annoying to the point of pulling your hair out after hearing it a hundred times.

Another good book from lasky, this one lacks the first two books excellent pacing, but redeems itself half way through when the story seems to get back on the same track as the previous books.... The end of the book is pretty suprising, and will almost have you reaching for the tissues, such are the emotive talents of laskys writting....

Good follow up to i am number four, adds more characters to the plot and alternates between them each chapter. Marisol ramirez did a excellent job with the narration and really brought the book to life, proberly the best narrator i have heard so far. Book gets one star knocked off for a few holes in the plot, but still a excellent read.
