A weird but vivid description of one day that has made me think about my own individual days. One of the best readings of a book I've listened to. Also I'm pretty sure that every question ever asked on University Challenge about anything pre 1904 is answered in Ulysses. It's all here!

I struggled a bit with all the details about India but it was more than made up for by all the Churchill and Orwell stuff.

I've no idea why this makes me laugh. The jokes are rubbish and it doesn't any sense. The highlight of the show is HH telling us how he left his rice pudding container to soak - strangely hilarious. I laugh everytime I think about it. Pure Genius!

A fantastic, moving book. A timeless tale and the best I've listened to so far. Great narration too. A+

This is definitely the worst audio book I have listened to, I struggled to finish it. The plot is ambling yet obvious, the characters are completely two dimensional and the point? Who cares, I ended up wishing the Labyrinth contained a really big monster that would kill and eat everyone including the simpering 'heroine'. I can't believe I've wasted so many hours listening to this rubbish. I bought this because of recommendations and awards (Richard and Judy etc) but I shall be more careful where I get my advice from in future.

On the positive side, it does eventually end and I did manage to paint quite a lot of my house while listening to it.
