Sorry ... still laughing. I have listened to many narrators attempting Scottish accents unsuccessfully but this has to be the absolute worst! I suggest this needs to be read not listened to!

I quite enjoyed this book, spoiled by the rest of the series having no audible.

I don't know why this narrator was used. It sounds as if she has breathing problems.

listening to this so can't review the story aspect. Unfortunately the accents were appalling. I have read other books by this author and thouroughly enjoyed them ... so disappointing to have this one ruined.

Seriously?

A long listen for little reward. Also I don't know if it was me but the narrator seemed to swap between calling the main protagonist Sam and Tam. Don't bother with this.

A reminder of why David Gemmell is great.

Yet again we become immersed in the world of Heroes and Legends. DG sorely missed.

I've been reading these books for years and was a bit worried about listening to one but the narrator did it justice and I wouldn't hesitate to listen to another.

I really enjoyed this series, my only regret is that there are not more. I would really have liked to have read about the Omega force and their missions with shifters.

I bought this for a light listen.I have read books by the author previously so was quite happy with the content. However this was destroyed by the editing and narration. The story changes frequently between plot lines and characters but the editor has not put the slightest pause between scenes which left me constantly having to stop and re-assess which part I was actually listening to. The narrator's Northern Irish accent was mediocre and kept slipping added to which he made very little effort to differentiate between genders. All in all I will stay with reading any future books narrated by David John
