enjoyable story of undercover prince trying to get away from the drama of his life for a while, with a fake boyfriend plot.
The relationships were fairly well paced, in so far as a "quick" romance goes. The themes throughout were never too heavy, aside from loss of parents which occur before the main plot. overall a cheerful book, which has been nice as I wanted to listen to something with lighter themes.

Realistic representation, and easy listen. Can't wait to listen to the next book.

Potential spoilers ahead, but I've tried to avoid them.

Very good story for anybody considering an ABDL/age regression lifestyle or hobby, or to get insight into it for partners/friends. Often age regression (being a little) is immediately fetishised without the consideration that it's a non sexual state; whereas age play is specifically for kink. This story makes a clear distinction between where one starts and the other ends which, as a regressor myself, I really appreciate.
The relationship developments feel natural, allowing for a relaxing listen. The reader does a good job of making the voices different and clear, adding to a relaxing experience.

The asexuality was handled very well. Aces tend to be described as being sex repulsed, despite not all aces being that way at all. He was very realistic, and his character was well developed for the length of the book. Anybody considering a relationship with an ace who isn't sex repulsed but enjoys kink may be able to get a good idea of what the partner feels.

The boy wasn't quite what I expected, but that isn't a bad thing. He feels like a breath of fresh air when considering how other "genius" characters are written. He doesn't know what he wants to do, which may make him very relatable.

The least realistic aspect, which I would argue makes this story one you can listen to with ease, is the acceptance by the teacher.

Couldn't stop listening. Angst galore but was a reasonable amount considering the topic. Recommend it.

while there is some daddy kink it was only touched upon with name calling but not overly fetishised so could be enjoyed by those who don't find that floats their boat (such as myself). you get what you expect from the blurb. the relationship was believable and I'm intrigued what will happen next.
the performance could sometimes lie flat but not often and was overall well done.

Overall incredibly boring. Language's use was flat. A majority of the dialogue was direct quotations of bible passages. No major plot points until the end of chapter 15 of 18 chapters. Little character development. The description sums up the last 3 chapters. The first 3 hours has very little plot importance.

I enjoyed this book. the emotional description of self harm, bipolar and recovery really struck a chord for me. the pacing of 'enemies' to friends to lovers could blhave been be better bit it still felt natural enough to maintain immersion.
I would recommend this to both friends/partners of people with depression/bipolar as well as the people with the condition ( providing this is not too distressing or triggering)

listened over 2 days, the final chapter cliff hanger was annoying and I can't wait for the next book. Diverse set of characters while not becoming in the way of the story and none seemed "token". Lots of relatable characters and discusses maturer themes without becoming too adult so an excellent way for children to understand the topics, such as religious and gender understanding.
I recommend this audiobook.
