What would have made The Tea Planter's Wife better?

If it contained more detail. Characters were vague and their actions were not fully explained.
Ceylon sounded beautiful. The descriptions of the scenery, clothing and weather added to the story but with regards to the actual characters, nothing was made very clear.

What will your next listen be?

House of Silk

Would you be willing to try another one of Avita Jay’s performances?

No. Never again.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. It was a tedious listen. Far too long and the most boring audible book I have ever listened to. I could not wait for it to finish and was so glad when it
did!

After the horrors of the past, Louisa Williams is desperate to make a clean start. Her husband, Sam, is dead. Her children, too, are gone, victims of the car accident in which he died. Sam said that she would never get away from him. That he would hound her to death if she tried to leave. Louisa never thought that he would want to harm their children, though. But then she never thought that he would betray her with a woman like Sophie. And now Sophie is determined to take all that Louisa has left.

Good book with lots of twists and turns. Never knew who the 'goody' was or who to 'side' with!
Quite enjoyable but unfortunately the end was a massive let down. Bit lazy I think.
