Over the previous decade, Bella had been so paralysed by her fears that exercise was the very last thing on her mind. So that first run didn’t last very long. But to her surprise, she was back out there the next day. And the day after that. She began to set herself achievable goals - to run 5k in under 30 minutes, to walk to work every day for a week, to attempt 10 push-ups in a row. Before she knew it, her mood was lifting for the first time in years, and she had swapped hiding in her house for fresh air, unknown roads and running tracks.

this is not a how to manual on running. if anything this gives you a insight into mental health, her struggle with it and how she came to take up running and how this benefitted her. Bella has a voice like chocolate. I listened with intent like she was a friend in my lounge sharing gossip over a bottle of wine. Her story is honest and lathered in unpretentious wit. I was looking for something to get me motivated and this has done it. her chronicles of those early days running remind us that we don't all look like the fitness models in the magazines and on Instagram. this is real and this is achievable.

Deep in the muddy fields of the Lincolnshire Fens, a teenage girl is found wandering, delirious, claiming to have been drugged at a party. Metres away, the drowned body of another girl is found on an isolated beach. And all this on a small stretch of land where, nearly 10 years ago, the shocking disappearance of a young girl remains an open case.

loved it. a puzzle that does not slot into place until the last page. Richard Armitage's voice and range sweeps you in from the first word and gives it a gritty raw depth.
