one of my favourites books, such a touching and sad undertone, whilst still managing to throw in some humour.

Sitting quietly in his room in an old people's home, Allan Karlsson is waiting for a party he doesn't want to begin: his one-hundredth birthday party. found it hard to follow as an audio book at times with it being based on letters/correspondence and still not sure who some of the characters are now I've finished. it's definitely one to concentrate on and more of a slow burner....it provided a relaxed background commentary for my commute either way :)
