Melody Rosewood loves her new home in idyllic Sandcastle Bay. The beautiful little cottage on the edge of Sunshine Beach, with its bright yellow door and view of the sea, has captured her heart. And she loves being close by to her family and her best friend, Tori Graham. Life by the sea is pretty much perfect. There’s just one thing missing.... Gorgeous Jamie Jackson, with his cheeky grin and adorable puppy, works as a sculptor opposite Melody’s jewellery shop. From the moment he and Melody meet, sparks fly. But despite their instant attraction, a past heartache is holding Jamie back.

Amy Wilde is tired of the idiots her glamorous flatmate Jo keeps foisting upon her - she'd much rather be digging in the garden with her dog Badger at her side than trying to find the man of her dreams. That is, until she meets Leo Wolfsburg. Handsome, polite and funny, Leo is everything Amy could want in a boyfriend. Best of all, the attraction seems mutual. But Leo's lifestyle is a world away from her own. Private planes, charity balls, exclusive members' clubs - Amy begins to realise that her simple existence is being turned upside down. Is that what she wants?

'I'm wearing a beautiful pink dress, and I'm in a big pink room with billowing curtains...and I'm dancing to Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark...and my handsome partner leans over and whispers....' Yes, '80s child Ellie really thought life was going to be like Pretty in Pink, St Elmo's Fire and all those other movies - where everyone was astoundingly glamorous, popular and successful, had huge apartments and lived happily ever after. But now that she and her gang are 30, she has to admit that things haven't quite turned out that way.
