Napa Valley land heiress, Lola Langthorne, finally meets her match (and then some) when French billionaire Alexander de Sauveterre moves in next door. The high-rolling businessman and international playboy needs one last piece of land to complete his California wine estate - a “bit” of the legendary Langthorne vineyard adjacent to his new acquisition. Lola Langthorne’s “bit” to be exact, and he’ll stop at nothing to possess this little slice of viticultural heaven. The Langthorne family saga continues with Tobias and Lina’s wild and rebellious daughter.

In this story we have the grown up Lola Langthorne who is just like her father. When she goes to France and meets Alexander her world changes.

Logan McAllister does a good job narrating this story.

I received a code to listen and review and give my honest opinion. It was fun to see Lola grown up and a spitting image of her father Tobias. The saga continues from book 1 to the next generation and the struggles to keep the beautiful Langthorne. I liked this book but not loved. It is 3 stars for me.

Shy and modest Lina Montez has been infatuated with Tobias Langthorne, heir to a Napa Valley land fortune, for as long as she can remember. Growing up alongside the intoxicatingly handsome bully on his family’s fabled vineyard and estate was an experience she will never forget. The young “lord of the manor” spent countless hours tormenting the housekeeper’s daughter as well as inspiring her budding sexual desire. Ten years later, Lina finds Tobias as provocative and dangerous as ever, and now Lina must battle her old playmate to save the land she loves.

This is the story of Tobias and Lina from their young lives through adulthood. Lina loved Toby but he was always mean to her but through it all she still loved him. He finally comes around and sees Lina for who she is as well as the beautiful Langthornes.

Logan McAllister did a good job narrating this story.

I received a code to listen and review and give my honest opinion. It's a 3 star for me. The story is a little long and Lina's love of repeating Tobias Langthorne throughout is a little childish but they get their HEA in the end.

Clutch: A Novel is the laugh-out-loud chick lit romance chronicling the dating misadventures of Caroline Johnson, a single purse designer who compares her unsuccessful romantic relationships to styles of handbags - the “Hobo” starving artist, the “Diaper Bag” single dad, the “Briefcase” intense businessman, etc. With her best friend, bar owner Mike, by her side, the overly-accommodating Caroline drinks a lot of chardonnay, puts her heart on the line, endures her share of unworthy suitors, and finds the courage to discover someone onto whom she wants to hold: the “Clutch”.

Caroline was influenced at a young age by her Aunt Mimi and as she grows up she refers back to Aunt Mimi's philosophy. When Caroline starts college Mike is there to help her through. They become best friends and really so much more but it takes Caroline a while to realize that what she needs is right in front of her all along.

Suzanne Barbetta did a good job narrating this story. Cute southern charm for Caroline and she was good as Mike as well. I enjoyed listening to her.

One call. That’s all it took to change everything. The sweet voice on the other end of the line delivered a blow I never saw coming. Fighting for our country’s freedom and staring death in the eye was nothing compared to this news. History has one hell of a way repeating itself. Kate Wilson’s voice didn’t waver once as she turned my worst nightmare into a reality, and her words weaved a cruel poetic justice.

This book is about Max. The young man that Jessie and Jules took in from Yesterday Is Gone. Max is all grown up and has done his tour in the service. When a teacher named Kate gets in touch with him and tells him he has a son his world is flipped upside down. He is thrown back into his tragic childhood and he is determined his son will not repeat what he went through.

Kate is Finn's teacher and she is determined to help this little boy. When she finally meets his father she has no idea where her future will take her. Her love for Finn is quickly spread to his father.

Heather Edwards and Mark Whalbeck are great at Max and Kate. Their voices match the age range of the characters and they produce the emotion needed for the story. I loved listening to them.

Welcome to Desire by Design. No clothing beyond this point. When I imagined the vacation of a lifetime, it didn’t include a nude fetish resort. I foolishly assumed my bestie Jess and I would at least be wearing bikinis. This place is a hedonistic paradise, but I’m pretty sure I just walked through the gates of hell. At 23, I’m still a virgin, and an anomaly in a place like this. My innocence makes me vulnerable to all manner of pervs. Mason is my host for the week, my protector. He’s basically a prostitute and the world’s biggest tease.

They say going home is easy, and in all reality, it should be. Just not for me. The small, one-horse town that gave me my roots, that made my soul thrive, is also the place I never wanted to set foot in again. I left everything behind and never looked back. Until now. With the death of the man who raised me, I’m forced to return to Boone. Old wounds resurface, and heartache and loss trump everything once more.

It started as as a simple search for a landscape designer...I wanted a beautiful backyard for my new home and my neighbors suggested I look into ward landscaping and design. The owner had no pictures of himself on his website, just a portfolio of nice outdoor sitting areas, pools, and vibrant gardens that I’d always dreamed of having. Of course I hired him.I expected to meet an average guy, but Mr. Marcel Ward is far from your average man.

Audiobook Review
This book starts with Gabby and her husband Kyle moving to the beach and moving into their dream home. This home quickly becomes a type of lonely prison for Gabby with Kyle always away. When she decides to have a patio added out back and gets a recommendation from her neighbor little does she know she will not only change the looks of her home but will also change her life in a path she never saw coming.

This is a taboo love story with secrets that are still hidden as is this part 1 so I can't wait to continue this story with book 2. At times I want to shake Gabby for being so naive and trusting of her husband and I also want to hold Marcell to ease his pain. You know there is more to this story that is revealed so even though it it taboo I could feel for Gabby and justify her actions. I wanted her to find comfort in Marcell and to drop kick Kyle to the curb.

Lacy Laurel and Aiden Snow were great with these characters. Lacy's voice fit Gabby perfectly, I could visualize her characters as Lacy narrated. Aiden, need I say more. I love his voice and he did a great southern drawl for Marcell. I enjoyed listening from beginning to end and hated when it ended. I need more.

This is the final part of this series and it picks up right where we left off with Erin and Blake. She is struggling to graduate and he is trying to keep their distance until she does. Finally they are back together but the past will come back to haunt them in other ways. This is a really touching story with lots of heartache and pain from the injuries Blake suffered from the war to the pain Erin felt from her childhood. These two come from totally different backgrounds but they are perfect together.

WOW! Lia Langola and Steven Dexter were super fantastic in this series. I was completely wrapped up in their voices. They delivered this story with all the emotion needed to bring it to life. I could feel the anger and hurt and passion in their words. I could listen to them all day.
