Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake. So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave? Not that he'd ever admit it, but maybe he's been waiting - waiting for the traveler to come back. The one who's roared into his life twice before, pausing just long enough to drop tantalizing clues before disappearing in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. The one who's a walking anachronism, with her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model A Ford.

Loved it despite not understanding everything! The dream? Time travel, chases, history, good guys, bad guys! The possibilites that time travel could give us makes you think. I enjoyed the narration. This is the second book of Peter Clines I have listened too and have loved.

Enjoyable even if a bit far fetched at times as a nurse getting the better of trained gangsters & despite serious injury hero was back in action!! Lots of action, blood and death! With twists and turns. I liked the way the story was told by the characters' points of views. I did have trouble with parts being so quietly spoken and other parts louder. I was forever turning the volume up and down. Despite all that very enjoyable!

Gripping and packed with twists and turns, this stunning thriller will make you question whether we can ever really trust the ones we love.... What if your whole life was based on lies? When Joe Lynch stumbles across his wife driving into a hotel car park while she's supposed to be at work, he's intrigued enough to follow her in. And when he witnesses her in an angry altercation with family friend Ben, he knows he ought to intervene.

Soon to be a major motion picture starring Idris Elba and Kate Winslet. When the last outgoing flight is cancelled due to a broken deicer and a forthcoming storm, Ben finds a charter plane that can take him around the weather front. And when the pilot says the single engine plane can fit one more, Ben offers the seat to Ashley. Then the unthinkable happens. The pilot has a heart attack midflight, and the plane crashes into the High Uintas Wilderness - one of the largest stretches of harsh and remote land in the US.

It gripped me all the way through. Would they both survive or not? I had hoped they would but there was that chance they wouldn't. A chance meeting on a snowy night, leads them to analyse their lives as the characters try to survive. The summary does give a clear picture of the story, so I won't
go over that, but it is the ending that surprised me. I never expected that, though there are hints to it along the way you realise afterwards.
What I am disappointed with is after reading the synopsis of the film... a fantastic book story is totally changed in the film, even down to character names. I was so looking forward to the film but now feel I don't want to watch it as I'll be saying too often that wasn't in the book.

Having read all of Dan Brown's books, this was my very least favourite. I have enjoyed all his previous stories, but this one just had too much hanging around listening to explanations. Going on and on and on.... Tension was created at so many different levels and the need to know was there, but the length of explanation made me think 'So what!' Though saying that the ending did surprise me.

There were many times I was on the verge of giving up listening, but just give it another chapter and another. It is so intense. It played with my mind and unnerved me. wanting me to cry out: What are you doing? Don't do it! So many twists and until the end I really wasn't sure what to think. But glad I finished it. Basically Anna has big issues. So does Liam and so does Amanda. All their issues and pasts interweave (well the woman's do) as they are unravelled and revealed to the reader. A real psychological thriller that will make you wonder. Warning: don't listen to it as you yet yo go to sleep at night!

I bought it by accident, thinking it was another book, but thought I'd try it, as apocalyptic genre doesn't normally interest me. But so glad I did. It is long but I become hooked. Basically it is a story of survival in a world divided by the infected with Dragon scale and the uninfected who are scared and just want to be rid of the infected. it is a tale of survival, friendships, betrayal, heroics (though a little far fetched at times but the whole story is!) And of course love.

People are capable of almost anything. Fast-paced and addictive, The Couple Next Door announces a major new talent in thriller writing. You never know what's happening on the other side of the wall. Your neighbour told you that she didn't want your six-month-old daughter at the dinner party. Nothing personal, she just couldn't stand her crying. Your husband said it would be fine. After all, you live only next door. You'll have the baby monitor, and you'll take it in turns to go back every half hour.

You knew how the story would end but listening as the story developed left you hoping that it could change. Will's life changed forever and Louise's life too changed forever. Thought provoking in places where you wonder what would you do. I loved seeing the world through Lou's eyes as she slowly matures and realises she can make a difference to Will's life. I enjoyed the narration. Using the different voices for different characters stories wasn't at all detracting.
