The wide scope is a little too English to be truly representative of the years covered. Nevertheless an interesting read. The narrators voice is excellent however his frequent mispronunciations grated rather a lot. How hard is it to say Boer and not boor? Or even pronounce Ontario correctly! Irritated by the ridiculous placing of New Lanark near Manchester? Misread or ignorance by the author? Such a basic error and there is more than one in this book makes it suspect in many of its assertions.

Strange story from 1907, lots of humour and quite a bizarre tale and an excellent insight into the popular culture and mores of the time.

I enjoyed this book the narration is excellent and well produced. However no matter how hard I try I don't really like Sherlock Homes stories if you do then I thoroughly recommend this book

More than Jeeves

Many people know little more than the Jeeves and Wooster stories by P. G. Wodehouse.

This is as good a place as any to start exploring his other stories.

It has the same basic plotlines that are so well loved and the same cast of colourful and eccentric characters.

The quality is superb, narration spot on..............

Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

1. Amazing quality.
2. Stephen King is brilliant at narrating his own work
3. The music that is added is superb in creating atmosphere.

It is more than an audio book it is an experience.
Tremendous - you won't regret buying this...........a pity he hasn't narrated all his own books.

An excellent production.

The quality of the recording superb the narrators voice just perfect. I really cannot praise this enough! Buy it and listen!

I know all of Wodehouse's work inside out and I love this story. However I was very deeply disappointed in the quality of Format 4. This has been taken from an old tape. You can hear the hiss. There are gaps at the end of tapes. Audio quality cahngs frequently. It is about bearable on the IPOD, impossible says my daughter on the CD player in the car. I was really disappointed in the quality especially after the superb quality of Norell and Strange.

Cecil is a good narrator.
