Welcome to your new cottage in the country - complete with grumpy vet, village gossip and a very muddy dog.... City girl Ella wants to take refuge in the country, lick her wounds and work out what she's going to do with the rest of her life. She certainly doesn't want to have a four-legged houseguest or anything to do with village life. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of Wilsgrave have other ideas.

If like me you enjoy listening to a tale about an individual , who’s life has taken a twist and escapes to pastures new to gain a view on life this tale is for you.
A tale with a few twists and lots of chuckles this lighthearted listen certainly hit the spot . The narrator brings the characters to life and conversations are believable ( I felt like I was eavesdropping at times) . This is a pleasing addition to my already rather large library and I recommend to any Katie fforde fans though this isn’t set in the Cotswolds. Enjoy your next listen and I am going to have a look for another great listen

Award-winning comedian Sarah Millican plays Sarah, life counsellor and modern-day agony aunt in the collected first two series of this BBC Radio 4 comedy. Solving the nation's problems with her support group, she wants you to live life to the utmost, and she's got tons of ideas of how to help. Just like the busybody at the end of your street who knows everything, and supported by her team of experts (local cabbie Terry and self-qualified counsellor Marion), Sarah dishes out advice whether you want to hear it or not.

A great all round cast on a great twist of friends giving honest advice. Got this for travelling rather than a full novel , was perfect as this is in twenty minute sections so a good stop starter. Each section is a humorous romp through what sometimes we really want to say to those folks with no real problems . Hope there are more like this as I’ll be getting for work
