Beautifully written and narrated story about a mother’s quest to save her unborn child. I really enjoyed the whole book and felt Carly’s pain, angst and joy all the way through. I had to stay up very late to hear the end and was not disappointed. Well worth a listen.

OMG it could have been so much better!

It started well but went on a bumpy journey downhill from there. It takes a different stance on the zombie genre by looking at the military and how they behave in the apocalypse.

What surprised me was the American narrator for English speakers most probably living in Wales? There were a lot of Americanism so why set it in Wales?? I won't bother with the other books.

I wasn't too sure about listening to the book but it was well worth it. I really enjoyed Rylan's conversational style of narration and the antics he got up to. He is thoroughly entertaining and it's worth a listen.

One damned book after another - I LOVE IT!!

I love this series and it just gets better and better. Jodi Taylor can switch from comedy to drama to heart rending sorrow so skilfully, it leaves me almost breathless. I must give Zara Ramm 5 stars for her excellent narration, she is so brilliant and I enjoy listening to her immensely. I love the way she has made Maxwell so real.

I love this series and I think this is the best book yet - I can't wait for the next one.

I really enjoyed this book and loved seeing the characters evolve. It was an amazing finale but are there no more? This could go on and on so please Mike Shevdon keep writing them. 5 stars to the narrator Nigel Carrington you gave every character their own voice - brilliant!

I want more!!!!

The storyline was different to what I expected. It was well written and narrated but I found it depressing and only listened to the whole book to find out what happened to the main characters. I would listen to another book by the author.

Wow what a refreshing change!!

I really enjoyed this book as it was so different. The main characters were really well written and I liked them. The majority of the narration was good but some of the voices were weird and I was surprised at that as it seemed unnecessary.

I look forward to listening to the next book!

I was pleased that this was much better than Clariel but the narrator's weird and monotonous delivery drove me mad. I kept having to rewind as I missed bits because she bored me!

I did enjoy the story but I think that the first three books were far superior in their storytelling and would hope that Garth Nix can bring back the magic to the next book as I love the series.
