I’ve been waiting for another instalment of the magic men. I actually guessed whom the killer was 3/4 of the way through but I still enjoyed the whole story.

I would recommend this book and the rest of the magic men series.

This is the first time I’ve ever listened to an Erica James Novel.

I’ve laughed and cried all the way through this audio book. It is well written, the characters are fascinating and the story line is twisting. An absolute must.

The only thing did tickle me was the mis- pronunciation of “naught”.... it’s pronounced n-out not nought. My grandpa (Yorkshire)always used to say it.
Me: what’s wrong grandpa?
Him: Naught (n-out) meaning nothing.

Will be looking for if Erica James books

I absolutely love this series, well written and narrated

I look forward to hearing about Jack and Sarah in each new story

I used to live in the Cotswolds and miss it. Especially Huffingtons

Absolutely thrilled to have a new series to follow. The Mitford sister were so notorious as I was growing up, due to having a scandalous aunt.

The writing of this story and the previous one is excellent, being transported back in time and one imagines being there.

I look forward to hearing the third book

This is an easy book to listen too.

I quite enjoyed how it’s written from the maids point of view and the relationship she has between herself and her mistress.

The narrator voice is very soothing and words are missed pronounced except for one and that’s quite understandable

Great story... but....

Kerry Greenwood is a wonderful and creative person, her stories transport you there.
Sadly, this narrator did not do this story any justice at all. She sounded like she was doing a time trial and each chapter had to finished quicker than the previous one.

She made Corinna sound like a screeching shrew! As for the rest of characters they to were a disappointment.

Not the most pleasurable stories to listen too

Absolutely love listening to the exploits of Jack and Sarah, the description of Cherringham and the surrounding areas. I used to live in the Cotswolds and parts of it I miss greatly. During bouts of illness, this series of Cherringham keeps my spirits up and brings back memories.

I would highly recommend this and look forward to hearing more Jack and Sarah

I accidentally came across Miranda James. Didn’t expect much but oh my, what a discovery. Absolutely love the sisters and the characters involved in her stories. The description of the setting is wonderful, the listener is transported to the south. I long to be seated around the table in the kitchen with Miss Dixie

I have purchased all 6 books and look forward to continuing my journey to the south
