Gripping and atmospheric. Lots going on with tense waits and unexpected outcomes. Fab. A treat.

An atmospheric Nordic thriller beautifully read and given life by the narrator.....I felt as if I was ‘living’ the novel.

I love this book. It’s the second reading for me and enjoyed looking up the places mentioned as we went along. Thank you Brigid. Wonderful.

Narrator exceptional.
Sososo nearly a tremendous mega read but too complex with characters not quite memorable enough when they cropped up later on. Perhaps with the wonderful political, geographical and personal information in it, a trio of books might have been written, or perhaps my memory isn’t very good.

Great adventure in country I enjoy listening about. Wish the narrator had used a more familiar accent for Pendergast for us avid listeners.

Absolutely gripping. The style of the narrator took me a while to get used to and then had me believing every well placed word. I didn’t want to stop listening until I reached the end. So surprising a book.

Another brilliant example of my favourite type of storytelling. Fact, fiction and adventure skilfully interwoven . Thank you.

I love the Alien series. This was disappointing in that it was mostly about one reprehensible character which detracted so completely from the otherwise great story that I just couldn’t listen. Narrator unable to inject the atmosphere of the other novels and struggled with American accents.
