"Alright, alright, alright." Women say I sound just like Matthew McConaughey. And owning half of Texas, life can't get any better. Until my inheritance is threatened by my bitch of a half-sister. Well sugar, that shit ain't happenin'! The only way to stop her is to get married. It's in my parents' will. Fortunately, I know just the candidate - Amanda. She lights me up as bright as the Dallas sky. All I can think of is her riding me cowgirl while wearing my Stetson. But there's more to it. She's actually making my playboy ass consider settling down.

Enjoyed the writing a lot! Loved that these characters had some good fundamental personality traits. Bran and Amanda were a really cute couple! There were some pretty steamy scenes too. Also, I really love that this story was set in TX!

Loved the narration! First time listening to this narrator and I thought he gave a fabulous performance.

Loved this second chance romance! It was great listening as Andi and Chase's relationship finally came together. It was nice that they had to overcome so many real life relationship struggles between each other as well as overcoming difficult circumstances as a couple. There were some very sad and devastating things they had to go through that just hit me right in the feels. Really enjoyed the writing overall and loved these characters and their story!

These two narrators are new to me but they gave a fabulous performance that made this a very pleasant listen. Both gave clear performances with enough voice differentiation and dramatization. I feel like they were excellent choices for these characters and complemented each other well.

This fantasy has underlying tones of romance, but is mostly a clean listen with a lot of action. There was a lot of world building since this is the first book in the series, but the whole concept of the Reapers and the Hunters is very unique and new to me. Great descriptions, loved the writing and these characters were easy to empathize with. There is a huge internal struggle between doing what one is told vs doing what is right. The story is satisfying, so not a huge cliffhanger but leaves a lot of paths open for the next book. Excellent start to a series.

I liked the narration a lot, I think she was s great fit for this book. I would have liked a little more differentiation between Kane and Casio's voices bc they seemed to sound very similar at times. Overall, I was very pleased with the narrator; the performance was clear and easy to understand and the characters were represented well. Great performance by this narrator.

I'm excited to see where the author takes this series and look forward to more of this narrator's performances.

Demons vs. Angel is not a trope I come across very often and I am always intrigued by how authors portray each side when I do. This author does an excellent job world building and there is a lot of detail throughout. The whole story is deep and had me totally captivated, it is highly thought provoking. It does end in a super suspenseful cliffhanger and I am now eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. We are fed little bits and pieces throughout the book but I don't think we have been given enough information yet to fully understand the gravity of the situation we end upon. Well written plot and great characters that are easy to relate to.

I thought the narrator did an excellent job representing these characters and bringing us all the suspense intended by the author. Great performance!

This is soooo not your typical alien romance. It is a super steamy reverse harem with a hint of BDSM. There are potential triggers for some listeners since it is a darker romance. I would have liked for it to not be so super easy for Kyra to be captured. I loved the differences Zaavyr, Jax, Colton, and Aedan's personalities; each one seems to bring something different to the table. It is interesting to see as the men become attached the Kyra and Kyra to the men. If you want something a little bit different, this is a great option!

Another great performance by Heather Firth! I love the diversity in romance sub genres she has narrated and am impressed with her ability to provide an excellent performance, especially in a story like this one. A different narrator could have easily made this sound like a typical cheesy sci-fi romance; but Heather brings out all the sensual elements of the story and makes this a worthy listen!

Understudies never get to perform...which is why being Juliet's understudy in the school's yearly Shakespeare production is the perfect role for Emily. She can earn some much-needed extra credit while pursuing her main goal of spending time with Wes, aka Romeo, aka the hottest, nicest guy in school (in her completely unbiased opinion). Then Amanda ends up in the hospital, and Emily, as the (completely unprepared!) understudy, has to star in the most famous scene from Romeo and Juliet opposite the guy of her dreams. Oops?

I loved Emily as a character, she was just so super cute and had a quirky personality, there were a few times that I just laughed out loud throughout. This was a clean romance, so no worries about inappropriate scenes. I have a special place in my heart for YA romance and even as an adult this was just a really fun listen. This is the kind of listen that can turn a bad day into a good one. The plot was easy to follow and was not entirely predictable. Very well written.

I am impressed that the author narrated the book. I thought it was a fabulous performance and we were able to experience Emily exactly how the author intended. I could hear the smile in the author/narrator's voice multiple times throughout. Character voice differentiation was great and the narration was clear and exhibited the perfect amount of emotion. Excellent narration!

After listening to Cadence Untouched and simulaneously aware that this is a two book series with the same characters kind of makes this an easier to predict second chance romance. The author gives us many indications of how things are going to play out early on, but I feel as though Cadence Defined was just as well written as Cadence Untouched. After listening to Cadence Untouched I was already fully emotionally invested in Cadence and Fitz's relationship and seeing the outcome of their story all the way through to the end of Cadence Defined. There is some wasted time that makes me sad for them as a couple but seeing how they reunite and their ending was super satisfying for me. Interestingly, there are a couple of surprises in this book especially towards the end with Fitz's father. I was also surprised with the real life political aspect of the story, I have mixed feelings on the author's inclusion of current politics. I think I personally would have preferred it not to be included, but I think it was necessary for the story to make sense given how it was written. However, I loved the characters and seeing them come together significantly outweighed any negative feelings toward the inclusion of politics. I really enjoyed this two book series and am excited to see this author's work as her writing progresses over time. The two book format is not one I've seen often and I loved the originality of it. This was an excellent second chance romance!

These narrators gave an impecable performance in this book just as they did in Cadence Untouched. I enjoyed their performance so much and can't say enough wonderful things about it. I think these two are extremely well matched and made these characters super easy to love. Excellent!

There are some really unique aspects to this clean romance. The storyline of being left at the alter is one that I haven't personally come across before, but I'm sure its not entirely unique. I really loved these characters, they were just super cute and I loved seeing how the author built up Allie and Ethan's relationship. This was a fun clean romance with some comical moments thrown in. Loved this new to me author's writing. Also, the ex-fiance is a total jerk.

I thought the narrator did a fantastic job bringing out Allie's emotions throughout and just making these characters even more likeable in general. There was clear differentiation of character voices and her voice was clear. I think she was a perfect fit for this story. Although the arrator is new to me, I look forward to more of her work.

Every girl in my building is an escort? The news was nearly as shocking as being asked to take on a client. A hot, dominant, BDSM loving client, just like the guys in her favorite books. “All you have to do is convince him you’re an inexperienced submissive wanting to explore the lifestyle, which is exactly what you are. You have plenty of mind-blowing kinky action, collect a huge fee and walk away.” Sasha made it sound so simple, but the books warned that people new to the scene shouldn’t hook up, but the customer is always right, isn’t he?

An interesting twist to the BDSM trope. In this book we have both an inexperienced sub, Merissa, and an inexperienced dom, Sully. I like how the author brought Sully and Merissa together initially as well as the incorporation of the lucrative escort service. The author did a great job writing this story as we follow Sully and Merissa's journey into the BDSM lifestyle and as their relationship flourishes into something more.

I liked the narration for this book. I thought the narrator's performance made this even better than just reading it would have been. She was clear, there was good voice differentiation, and a perfect amount of dramatization at the appropriate moments.

This had the feel of a typical Sci-fi alien romance, to me. I liked how the author brough Zorban and Leah together although I expected there to be more magnetism between them for a number of reasons.

I enjoyed this narrator's voice for a sci-fi alien romance. I think he is a perfect choice for these kinds of stories. His voice does kind of remind me a little bit of George Jetson from the cartoon the Jetsons. I think his performance took this story from a 4 star to a 5 star. The narrator made this a fun listen.
