Mankind is on the brink of extinction. A deadly plague sweeps the globe like a tsunami, causing the dead to rise and prey on the living. While one brother fights his way home through the horrors and confusion of a savage landscape from the meat grinder that is Iraq, the other finds himself as the leader of a ragtag band of survivors striving to survive against the onslaught of the dead.

On Ham Farm, the remnants of the British Army watch as the massive horde approach in the distance. Joining forces with the Smith sisters, they face a race against time to fortify the area before the dead attack. Vastly outnumbered, all they can do is pray their training and arsenal of weapons will see them through the coming battle. If they manage to repel the multitudes of rotting zombies, the real war is only just beginning. Inside the castle, the survivors start to take the safety of the impenetrable fortress for granted.

Four different stories of horror, all with deadly outcomes. How would you handle a bullying coworker? Brian did it perfectly! What if a deadly virus left you as the last man standing? What would you do? Would you make a deal with the devil to get everything you wanted? Martin had the chance and took it with horrific consequences. How far would you go for your favorite dish of homemade soup? Jed went that one step further than normal.

The title of this audiobook says it all. It contains two short, twisted tales. The first story, "Love Sick in the Head", is about Timothy Bridle, who falls in love with his girlfriend's dying mother.... That's when things get really sick and twisted. A sickening love story. The second story, "Feeling the Fear", follows one man's curiosity to discover if he can feel and experiences someone's fear. Things don't turn out to well for him or his poor "subject".
