I have been listening to The Institute straight for 2 and a bit hours and I have had to turn it off for a while just to get some work done! Stephen has introduced some of the main characters so brilliantly I feel as if I could invite them over and chat about their lives. The story has just started to kick off (no spoilers) and I just want to sit and listen with no interruptions and no breaks. Up to now this is Stephen King at his addictive best.

I read Pet Sematary many years ago and loved it. Listening to it however sent chills up my spine even though I knew what was coming. It has taken me over a week to listen to this book mainly because I had to give myself a break several times (I read a couple of historical romance novels- hey no judgement ;)) from the intensity of the words, spoken by Michael C Hall who built up the tension brilliantly! This is Stephen King at his best. Writing words we do not want to hear and making his characters do things we shudder at the thought of doing.

I was recommended this book through my fantasy facebook site as a slight alternative to the fantasy genre I am used to. All I can say is 'WOW'. It had me actually laughing out loud seemingly every few pages. It also made quiet tears form in my eyes at the heartache that the very endearing main character - Sam - had to go through. It is poignant, fabulously funny with a fantasy quest woven through it.
The banter between the characters is incredibly well written and does feature some strong language although it is never overly crude.
The narrator - Michael Lesley absolutely brings this book to life! I have listened to several passages over again because they are very well written and Micheal's voice is very compelling.
I am now beginning the next in the series and looking forward to going to sleep late because I just HAVE to find out what happens next.
Download and enjoy!

I do not usually like short stories but this book has totally changed my mind! I could not turn this book off! No spoilers - especially for Dresden fans but the stories about River Shoulders and Irwen, and Maggie are my absolute favourites and the others are are great read too.
This is a must read for Dresden fans. Read beautifully again by James Marsters.
