'This was where her dreams drifted to if she didn't blot her nights out with drink; this was where her thoughts settled if she didn't fill her days with chat. She remembered this tiny, remote foreign village on a molecular level and the sight of it soaked into her like water into sand, because this was where her old life had ended and her new one had begun.'

I keep thinking I’ve found the best of Karen Swan but each book I discover just gets better. Christmas at Claridge’s is brilliant !

The twists and turns in this narrative just keep coming - right up until the last. The book is exciting, romantic, clever and the characters so well-developed, I felt they were close friends.

Audible is always my bedtime ‘reading’ but I didn’t get much sleep while listening to this book or much work done during the day, come to that!

Highly recommended !!

Fabulous book! Thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Great story with authentic characters and extremely well narrated.
Christmas at Tiffany’s is witty and funny, sad in parts but always beautifully crafted .
This has been my best Karen Swan book to date and will remain a favourite for a long time to come.
Hate to say goodbye to the characters. They have become good friends.

Tremarnock is a classic Cornish seaside village where Liz has found sanctuary for herself and her young daughter, Rosie. From early in the morning with her job as a cleaner till late at night waitressing in the restaurant, Liz works all the hours God sends to provide for them both. But trouble is waiting just around the corner. As with all villages, there are tensions, secrets - and ambitions.
