was thoroughly enjoying the continuation of the 2nd born lives only to have the weirdest twist half way through. Although I enjoyed it, I'd like to have seen it play out as it started. Without giving spoilers the story didn't follow its natural path but headed in a whimsical direction that didn't really fit with how it started. If the whimsical.had been there in the 1st and 2nd book it would have been more seamless. It's almost like the author ran out of idea on how.to finish the 3rd book and thought I'll add complete fantasy into it and then give it an abrupt ending.
It spoilt it a little for me and brought the rating down. Such a shame as the 1st 2 books had me hooked and rated 5* from me.

Another lovely episode following the Pernese people and their dragons.
sadly I felt the narrator was was lacking kn his knowledge of the story.
Since this is a newly released book I felt it would have been a good idea for him to listen to some of the other books already released. His pronunciation of the characters names and the dragon names was different to the other audible books. I understand that each person sounds them out differently as they read them but in this case a precedent had been set by 2 different narrators, it would have been good to have a continuation of the same pronunciation.

Other wise the story had the same flow as if written by Anne MCCaffrey herself

Brilliant story, narrator is a bit irritating with the way she reads. Her voice in general is ok, but her actual reading of the text has a tendency to emphasise words that dont need it, or places that need excitement are read blandly. I also found that she'll use an accent sometimes for a character and the same character gets a different accent another time.
Its just as well i enjoyed the story enough or it would have put me off finishing.
I am getting the rest of the books as i need to know what happens.

The 2nd in the Harbinger series, this follows on with the main characters being a few years older and grasping the Mysteries.
Still as captivating, the narrators voice drags you in.
I had to skip back almost every chapter as her voice lulled me to sleep.
Definately one to listen to again.

Set in a different wold with Mysteries all around them, the main character is determined to change her lot in life. The Mysteries are not what we know to mean in the word.
Fast paced and full of action.

love the story. the concept of it is brilliant. cant wait for the next instalment/final book.

my only regret is that the author has an annoying way of reading. i like her voices/dialects for the characters but her normal voice put me off initially. i had to force myself to go beyond that to finish the book.

A definate need to listen to.

This series is my go to when i cant decide what to listen to, when i need to completely escape, when i want something familiar. Despite having the audible set, kindle and paper format i cant praise these highly enough for lovers of a pre modern era. They are extensively researched and where imagination had to be taken to fill in the gaps it is entirely plausible and as it turns out the more we find out about the cave man era the author has actually made good instinctive observations.
