Jon Beatty thought he'd found the best man for him until Craig walked out. To add insult to injury, Craig's got a new lover - a woman - and wants Jon to be a different kind of best man...at his wedding. Reasoning that the only way to get over one man is to get under another, Jon heads out to Wilde's, the night club on Capitol Hill famous for its hot clientele and hotter bartenders. Jon just wants to get drunk and get laid, and bartender Liam Sable is more than willing to help with both.

Loved this book as I do all of Ms Witt's work although I think this was maybe the most descriptively erotic.
There was a little bit of predictability in the story line in respect of what was happening with Liam. That said it was still a good read.
If I'm honest the narration spoilt it a little bit. Firstly I didn't like the echo-ey sounds associated with John's thoughts. That was possibly me just being a bit weirded out but them at the start and not being able to just take them as a way of identifying 'thoughts' from speech.
For me, what was more of an issue was the way Zack really 'got into' the sex scenes, obviously trying to bring them to life. It would have worked better if there had been 2 guys each playing a role and reading that person's speaking parts'. Having one person talk all breathy and gasping and then the same person answer all breathy and gasping made it more fake to me, rather than more realistic.
That said it didn't spoil the story enough to stop me giving it 5🌟's or highly recommending it. I just think there is room in that area for some improvement.
In summary;
Loved the story
Liked the narration
Highly recommend
Will continue to read any and all books by this author using whichever of her nomdeplu as she chooses to write under.
5🌟 Ms Witt and thank you ❤

I really enjoyed this story, especially the way it got you into the heads and emotions and thoughts of the two lead characters.
A downside is there is a lot of Mormon religion within the story, which may be too much for some people and to be honest, I usually don't like it. However, the majority of it was included by way of one character explaining reasoning and concepts and thinking to another which I actually found very informative and felt, on this occasion it didn't detract from the story.
The erotic/sex elements were kept to a reasonable amount and weren't too graphic. personally I prefer more raunchy but still enjoyed this emensly.
I think I went through the full range of my emotions whilst reading this, which to me means it deserves 5*'s
This is the first book I have 'read' from this author but will definitely look for more.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend.

Loved the story line and all the characters especially the 2 leads.
Enjoyed the narration which, imo, definitely brought the story and the characters to life.

My one criticism is that the accents used in the narration seemed inconsistent at times.

Although, as with the majority of romance story it was pretty obvious how things were going to end up, it was still a challenge to all my different emotions as the story progressed. I certainly found plenty to laugh about, cry with, feel anger towards and let's not forget, left feeling hot, wet and panting over.

This is the first book by this author I have 'read' but I am certainly interested in experiencing more from this series and from this author in general.

Highly recommend if you like a action packed m/m romance.

Despite reading he series in the wrong order I still enjoyed this immensely. The characters really came through the narrative increasing the intensity of some parts of the story.
The story was way more erotically descriptive that the previous ones I have read and certainly not for the light hearted or shy! Personally I felt it added to the understanding of the characters and their lifestyle.
Definite really recommend this especially if you find the Russian accent hot and you don't mind wet panties 😘

Gideon calls me his angel, but he’s the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own. The vows we'd exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp, my greatest fears becoming my reality, my love tested in ways I wasn’t sure I was strong enough to bear.

The books in the series are just improving over time. Each new one brings more depth and detail to both the characters and their relationship.

This is an amazing love story with intrigue, humour and of course some awesome sex scenes, which in my opinion is well written and well narrated.

On the subject of narration. This is the first book in the series that has included a male narrator and at first I wasn't sure but the further into the book the more I realised that some of the male/Gideon dominated chapters were more intense and more effective using a male narrator.

Absolutely can't wait for the next one but also don't want it to be available as that is the last one in tge series and I don't want to get to the end. I think there is plenty more to tell for these two with out it becoming repetitive and hope that, maybe in time, more chapters will be written.

Thank you Sylvia for writing this series of books. I love them and will continue to read and re-read them 💜💕

The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires… From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Gideon Cross: As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction…my every desire…mine. My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful…except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. Moving on the fsf immediately!!!
I love the way Becca seems to put so much into a story that feels like EL JAMES put her heart and soul into whilst writing. I've cried, laughed, gasped, clutched the edge of my chair and panted through this book and definitely plan to 'read' it again in the future.

I have read the books twice each so far and listened to a few chapters on YouTube when I came across them one day, but nothing could have prepared me for how much better the story is when you can just focus on the words and not have to think about holding the book, turning pages, not losing your place. The biggest plus us that I could do things around the house or in the garden or walk yhe dog whilst listening. I didn't have to wait until I'd done those things to be able to continue to enjoy the next one.
The erotic scenes seemed so much MORE when someone was reading then to me. I think because there was a feeling of watching the actual scene play out.
UTTERLY, TOTALLY and without a shadow of a doubt THE BEST WAY TO ENJOY THIS BOOK.
