This book is probably one of Stephen King's best novels. IT is not so much about the horror but more about the unbreakable bonds of childhood friendship and their battle with the real threat of childhood bullying and the sinister threat of dark evil.
The narration was first class well done Steven Weber.
Fantastic listen.

I thought the whole trilogy was one of the best listens ever. Great conclusion to the overall story. Had to wait along time for the final chapter in this trilogy but well worth it. Will listen again and probably again at some point it was that good.

Not at all what I was expecting from a time travel novel. But I really enjoyed it!!!
It was far more thoughtful than expected. How someone from the past can corrupt a utopian future. THOUGHT PROVOCING.
Listen you will enjoy.

What did you like most about Nocturnal: A Novel?

It was fast paced and had some great one liners from the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

I like a bit of syfy and deadly monsters

Which scene did you most enjoy?

when the cops were interviewing Mr Biusnass.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No not that sort of book

Any additional comments?

Some of the monster characters were a bit naff almost childish. Not his best work much preferred his contagion series. But still enjoyed

I really enjoyed all three books in this trilogy. I do like this sort of end of the world disaster anyway. Wasn't to sure about the narration in the first couple of books but I got used to it (Authors should not narrate there own books, Leave it to the experts). Narration in the last book was excellent. Very well paced and written. Enjoy!!

Not usually my cup of tea "but I loved it

I would not usually listen to this sort of book but thought it was great. I purchased it after listening to swan song which definitely was my sort of read. I enjoyed swan song so much I thought I would give this a go. At first I wondered what the hell I was listening to because of all the thee's and thou's and historical fiction isn't for me. But after the first hour of listening I was hooked, the narration is great and the story line is intriguing. I have now also listened to some of the other Matthew Corbit Novels and enjoyed them just as much. Give this book a go and you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic. brilliant, amazing and loads more words like these. YES It is dark and moody but it needed to be to capture the atmosphere of the situation. The book dose jump one hundred years into the future but it also goes back to explain many unanswered questions. I can't think of a single thing to fault this book. I do love a long book, as a fan of Stephen King you have to be, This is Kings style but darker. Loved it and so will you!!!!

Have now listenend to this book twice in the past year. Narration is great Raul Esparza is terrific. Large cast in a small town. Some of it was dark and nasty, some is funny and uplifting. But showed what human nature is like when trapped. Some of the cast rise to the challange and of course some sink as low as is humanly possible. Well done Stephen King superb.

Have been watching the mini series on T.V. It's nothing like the book. Not only is the story line different, the towns people are weak and rubbish. The only thing the same is the title.

Stick with the book you can't go wrong. Enjoy.
