Its practicaly the same as dakota’s divine dungeon but better ? Well in some ways, there is not as much drama and political stuff in this book, other then that its kinda the exactly the same.

Really great work for the narrator but the editing should add in a mute sound option cause that cringy background sound is like supermariobro’s/skyro/zelda?/pirate thene. It sounds and feels terrible and makes the epic dungeon diving much less epic. Imagine your in a game and there’s always this one zone/place/dungeon/whatever where everybody mutes the music, this is like that. Don’t know why Shadow sun seems to be the only book from
Soundbooth that nails the background theme fight scene song. Mute background music button plz.

Other then that its great, I kinda want more and even thou i hated the background song, id still recommend it, definitely going to listen to the next one, hope the dungeon says “skeleton fight club” more on the next one.

At first I wasn’t sure I’d like this one but boy was I wrong.

Nice immersion into a world that was new and exiting! Character backstory well thought out and the way the scenes were written was excellent, felt I was there in the room.

Lvling system had a cool twist.
The running part didn’t annoy me at all, my take on it if you like running you can more see where she is coming from, didn’t really like her tantrum in the fight scenes too whiny and well I felt it was out of character but still perhaps understand if she was always picking fights in her former life, but this a bit over the top.

The narrator is a really price here! Excellent voice acting! The person responsible for the accent for the drakes and most of the ants is a genius! Beautiful voice acting at its best!

And the cute meets - well played!

Why all the needless grind (double meaning)

First this book would be fucking great if the author didn’t copy paste “sexy” scenes and “teasing” endlessly in the second half of the book, they weirdest turn around I’ve seen in a book in a long time.

Starts with pretty nice backstory, setting up the character = alright he’s a gentleman and believes in justice fair enough
Takes up a warlock class
Doesn’t take the “meta” build and becomes a better warlock for it pretty nice setup.
They I feel like I’m reading the writings of a super nerd, that’s has no interaction with women and the only connection he has is the TV. The endless flirting and cheesy remarks/actions of the npc and the other characters, no1 talks like that! A dojo teacher! Get the fuck out man, this gentleman/justice fighter is also a 100% player thats know his
Way around the ladies but has
Also been single for 5 years... bah where is the guy in the mist, instead of killing 10 boars quest!

Maybe the disclaimer says(adult themed something) but this is just out of this world(abit dramatic could find a better word) great start into a sexual teenager fantasy and why would you end the book like that, its so clear that she’s a succubus!

Nah, gave it 2 chapters

Seems like a mary sue character that knows it all too much and that plus this narrator is nit a good combo, taking in the fact that hes going back in time tells me that he’s going to unity humanity and all that, and ofc he knows all about the “game” he’s been playing for 20ish years bah.

Although didn’t give it a chance, maybe ill try later and review this again.

The part where the evil guy in thw prison is probably getting out an possessing ppl and stuff like that wasn’t really reassuring because id really hate it if the next book will be all about “everyone in the capital is possessed blabla”
But I hope Dakota will take the book down a different path, cause This i becoming my favorite litrpg series for sure, better then edens gate and viridian for sure, and the AI is a well thought out and funny.

I'll try to be nice

I'll start with saying that I liked the first book alot, the only thing I disliked was how stupid the Navi, But he's just a teen and so I thought to myself -okey he's not suppose to be all knowing, and that he doesn't understand what the magic wants of him. All in all a decent listen, but my god the quote "I don't understand" was getting really tired, he's even more stupid and stubborn in this one, and I mean overly so, this read(listen) was dreadful.
I do like your books Margaret, but this one was way too much back and forth, and when I thought you were finished, it only continued, "I don't understand" For a moment I thought -ah she's probably building it up for something grand. Boy was I mistaken. It was like you were only trying to make the book longer, if the objective was to make the reader understand how confused Navi was then you over did that by a mile, it was just boring, and The joy I felt when I finished it was that for it was over and I didn't have to listen to it anymore
Jonathan Barlow did a real job though, surly I'd like ti listen to him again.
I will not be buying the next book.

havnt laughed this must outloud form a audiobook in a long time,
abit cringe at the end but only abit,
narrator did a real good job here, a true master of the voice,
this book is funny and rough, id recommend to all that lika the northman part of joe's abercrombie first law books.
and the lore behind it is cool, it basicly has every kind of fictional monster in it.
did I mention it's funny ?

the main character is too smart and clever for my taste.
narrator has a bit young voice from what I usually go for but still alright.
story is good and I'd maybe check out the next one, cause the plot is alright, but but a 13 year old boy who thinks like a genius and a really a debt general, is something I dislike, but if you've read all the cream (Joe, sander, george) then I guess think is an alright time waster.
