A fabulous book. I was juggling between being on" team Amy" and" team Nick" the whole way through. Really enjoyed it as it caught my attention and I wanted to find out more about each character. Liked the characters and the narrators voices for each. Only gave it 4 stars as I was hoping for a bit more at a end.

The mystery of Eilean Mòr has never been solved. Until now. In the present, a group of environmental researchers arrives on the island to observe the wildlife.

I don't normally write reviews but I felt I had to comment on this book. It was BORING!! The first quarter of the book was fine and painted a promising picture and then it was followed by repetitive incidents. Same things over and over and over........ Bored!! Descriptive detail was good but it literally lost the plot! Sorry!!

In the late summer of a long-ago year, a killer arrived in a small city. His name was Alton Turner Blackwood, and in the space of a few months he brutally murdered four families. His savage spree ended only when he himself was killed by the last survivor of the last family, a 14-year-old boy. Half a continent away and two decades later, someone is murdering families again, re-creating in detail Blackwood’s crimes.

What a great build up for the ending to then fall flat on its face! All based on the super natural and things that go bump in the night. Should of reached a superb conclusion but failed to do so.
