overall very good, unusual style and most of the story segments work very well. A couple of standouts, Common, Mark Hamill, Rob Reiner but a couple were a real slog and nearly derailed the whole experience!
on occasions I almost just quit listening.
I'm glad I didnt, as I say overall it was a good story and those stand out segments really were excellent, Recommended.

Geralt is a witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin. Yet he is no ordinary murderer: his targets are the multifarious monsters and vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. He roams the country seeking assignments, but gradually comes to realise that while some of his quarry are unremittingly vile, vicious grotesques, others are the victims of sin, evil or simple naivety.

Excellent short stories in this book, but the wider series is absolutely wonderful in general,
I just hope the tv show can do it justice!
Also a special mention for Peter Kenny, whose vocal work bringing the characters to life is astoundingly good, helping to make the world feel fully realised and populated with a delightful array of realistic characters.

For more than a hundred years humans, dwarves, gnomes and elves lived together in relative peace. But times have changed, the uneasy peace is over and now the races once again fight each other - and themselves: dwarves are killing their kinsmen, and elves are murdering humans and elves, at least those elves who are friendly to humans... Into this tumultuous time is born a child for whom the witchers of the world have been waiting.

came here as a result of playing the ps4 game and very glad I did!
terrific performance from peter Kenny, truly. the game used American accents for the witcher and at first it was lightly distracting but the performance as so good soon forgot and got wrapped up in the table.
highly recommended.

John Cleese describes his nerve-racking first public appearance, at St Peter's Preparatory School at the age of eight and five-sixths; his endlessly peripatetic homelife, with parents who seemed incapable of staying in any house for longer than six months; his first experiences in the world of work, as a teacher who knew nothing about the subjects he was expected to teach; his hamster-owning days at Cambridge; and his first encounter with the man who would be his writing partner for over two decades, Graham Chapman.

Absolutely essential for anybody who like John Cleese
or for that matter, the pythons too.
To be clear, there isn't a huge amount included specifically referring to the group as a whole but that only makes sense as it is after all John's personal journey up to and including his python years.
It is however quite fantastic though, as I felt, it really delved into what makes the man tick comedically and psychologically, which in turn only increased my appreciation for what he personally and together with the pythons produced through the years.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this Audio book to anybody, fan or not, who enjoys a good yarn and more then a few belly laughs.
Purchase with confidence and enjoy his story right from the "proverbial" horse's mouth(Sorry John!)^^
