It's not easy to walk away from five years with his ex, who he discovered was cheating on him with some North Tower twink. After a night out partying, licking his wounds, he goes to bed alone. When he wakes the next morning, there's a naked guy in his bed. Not just any guy. A stud from North Tower. But hot as he is, what the hell is he doing in his room?

What was most disappointing about Colleen Hoover’s story?

"I wish my heart had lips so I could kiss him"- ??????
Are authors running out of ideas for the heart? I just... well - after that I just couldn't go on. I don't understand how a girl who has NEVER shown ANYONE her scars allows one guy to UNDRESS her within hours!!!! I know, it's fiction. Just very unbelievable fiction.

How could the performance have been better?

The woman in this is SO damn dramatic and whiny that it put me to sleep twice. It took me three days to get to the second year and well - then I just couldn't do it.

Any additional comments?

Did Colleen Hoover actually write this? If so - I think she needs to take a writing break.

There's never been any question in Sean Tucker's mind that he'd do whatever it took to make it to the major leagues and be one of the best pitchers of his time. The day he acknowledged to himself that he was gay was also the day he vowed to stay in the closet in order to chase his dreams. The problem is, he never counted on Mason Atley.

What disappointed you about Wild Pitch?

The narrator is a favorite of the author's. This book has decided for me that I won't be listening to anymore of his audiobooks. He speaks like a robot, slow and monotonous. In this day, we can pick narrators that "add" the inflections. Not this one. I feel like he talks to us like we are little kids.

Would you ever listen to anything by Sloan Johnson again?

Not anymore. :(

Any additional comments?

Read the book on your own but be prepared for contradictions from page one. Example - "We would do anything for the bride. Mason is so in love with her." to "He is a complete mess and she is a complete b*tch"

This book far outweighed my expectations. I just learned about this author in Las Vegas and I have a new MM favorite. Johnson doesn't put gay sex in your face. She puts gay love in your face and makes it tough and real and everything that love is supposed to be. I am absolutely astonished at her writing level and cannot believe I hadn't heard of her before this weekend. Props to the author for a fine piece of emotional literature.

Unless he can find a way to unlock all the songs in his head, his band will soon be on the fast track to obscurity. Then the South by Southwest music festival and a broken-down car drop New York critic Stanton Porter into his life. Stanton offers Topher a ticket to the Bruce Springsteen concert, where a hesitant kiss and phantom vibrations from Topher’s cell phone kick off a love story that promises to transcend ordinary possibility.
