Moira is quite the most miserable, cold, argumentative, sour female ever to be in a romantic novel. She didn’t deserve her HEA. All praise to Kenneth for persevering. I only kept going to the end because I liked the first book in the trilogy, and hope to enjoy the final book. This had to be endured in between! I have liked other books by Mary Balogh, especially the Survivors series, and the Bedwyn series, but this one was dismal.

He is simply the best narrator out there. His voice is like honey: frankly he could read the telephone directory and I would be hooked. He turns a good book into a great one. He probably reads this stuff and grimaces; but for me it is escapist heaven. Some people turn to drink or drugs when life is s**t, I turn to Regency romances. If they are read by Nicholas Boulton ... heaven! Please do more.

One of the most romantic - and erotic - books I have listened to. Well read, great characters. Gave me goose bumps and left me with a soppy smile on my face. Darius is the ultimate romantic hero, with enough flaws to be human but, gosh, so utterly desirable, sexy, honourable and smart. Might have to listen to it again straightaway.

I could listen to Nicholas Boulton read the Telephone directory. His voice is like honey - and dead sexy. He is the best audiobook performer EVER. Please, Nicholas, do lots more. I fall just a little in love with every character he reads. Perfect

A slow start, but stick with it. Jane Austen meets Georgette Heyer with style and wit. Excellently read too.

Wonderful. Great characters, well written and funny too. A worthy successor to Georgette Heyer. More Rockliffe novels please

Wonderful. At last, a successor to Georgette Heyer. Spirited and funny heroine, a hero I could fall in love with - very important - and a good plot. Didn't want it to end.
