When Sam receives and invitation for a free vacation her mum tries to warn her something isn’t right as people don’t just give free holidays away . However Sam decides to go but is unaware most of her friends have also received the same invitation. It doesn’t take Sam and her friends long to realise things are not quite as they seem and that each day they notice there’s less and less passengers. They are taken to a deserted island and left to fend for themselves and it isn’t long before they see the horrors on the island and have to fight for their survival. I really enjoyed this new take on Vampires and Werewolves and look forward to the next two books.

Natalie Rausch said she'd die for a chance to meet DJ Crazy Todd, but she didn't mean to be literal. A bitter divorce shattered her family and turned her into a 13-year-old weapon in the hands of two people who want nothing more than to destroy each other. Once an accelerated student looking at early college, Natalie let anger at her parents lead her down a desperate path of self-destruction. No amount of rebellion gets her mom or dad's attention - or stitches up the hole inside her where love used to be.

When her parents divorce Natalie is used as a pawn for them to get at each other . Her mother just doesn’t listen to Natalie or takes her feelings into consideration treating her like a child much younger than her 13 years of age . So Natalie does whatever she can to annoy her mother and gets in with a bad crowd which doesn’t go quite as Natalie thought it would.

Every decade one person from a bloodline is chosen to be a Clock Keeper when Anna Kennedy is chosen she commits a crime that could make time unravel. After she kills herself her sister Clara/Clarke has to try and right the wrong. The story is told from Clara/Clarke’s point of view and is told over a century I don’t want to spoil it for listeners so I won’t give anymore away but this book is really good and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Vivian Swain does a fabulous job narrating and does all the different characters so well I will be watching for other books narrated by her 🙂

Derek Hawthorne is a spy working for the Red Room a secret organisation who covers up supernatural occurrences from humans. He has to find the maniacal magical terrorist Wazir who has threatened to release a lethal virus that turns people into zombie like beings along with trying to prove his innocence after he is framed . I really love Derek he is witty ,funny and often his sarcasm had me laughing out loud , however he meets his match when he is partnered with Shannon O'Reilly.
As usual Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job narrating , i am really looking forward to more in this series.

The Council is the governing Coven over the Land of Five, a region entirely inhabited and split apart by witches with varying powers. Lilith Lace, a witch thought to be born powerless, happily resides in Ignis, the Coven of Fire, until she suddenly develops telekinesis, an ability only seen in some witches born in Mentis, the Coven of the Mind. When the Council finds out about her odd development, she's taken under their wing and is finally told the truth.... Everything she's learned about the Land of Five, herself included, have been nothing but lies.

Lilith Lace lives in the Land of Ignis she thought she was born powerless but when she develops powers from the Land of Mentis the Council take notice of her . She is at a ceremony when members of the Council forcefully take her and force her to join the Council. She is forced to carry out work finding rogue members of the Land of Five who sympathise with The Elementals even though she doesn’t agree with the Councils methods or motives. I really enjoyed listening although there’s a huge cliffhanger but thankfully the second book is already available so I’m off to listen to that now. The narrator Lynn Norris is excellent at every voice she does.

This is the first I have listened too from the author and he does a great job with the characters especially the bad guy as he made me really hate him and his hatred of women. The narrator does a great job with the characters and the different accents.
