Humanity now, perhaps more than in any previous time, has an opportunity to create a new, saner, more loving world. This will involve a radical inner leap from the current egoic consciousness to an entirely new one. In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are and learn to live and breathe freely.

Wonderful and inspirational. Not exactly easy reading but persistence will help awaken.
This is certainly a ' go back to' book when you go off kilter. So glad I came across Eckhart Tolle's teachings.

Joey Perrone is a woman with a mission. She's just been pushed overboard from a cruise liner by Chaz, her scumbag husband, and survived to tell the tale. But rather than reporting the crime to the police, she decides to stay dead and instead of getting mad, get even. Filled with a host of endearingly offbeat characters, and a narrative that is hilarious, romantic and thought-provoking by turns, Skinny Dip takes us on a journey through the warped politics of southern Florida.

Great story. comical, twisting, swampy tale.
Pity the reader had to spoil it by reading the heroine's part in such a soppy voice.
Irritated me to the point of abandonment. Glad I persevered.
Latter chapters are brilliant.

A twisted tale of murder in the world of big-stakes bass fishing tournaments. Filled with ex-wives, evangelists, and an armed pit-bull, this is a story that could only be concocted by Carl Hiaasen, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, New York Times best-selling author, and czar of Florida noir fiction.

If you’ve done six impossible things this morning, why not round it off with breakfast at Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe? Which is exactly what the crew of the Heart of Gold plan to do. There’s just the small matter of escaping the Vogons, avoiding being taken to the most totally evil world in the Galaxy and teaching a space ship how to make a proper cup of tea. And did anyone actually make a reservation?

What made the experience of listening to The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared the most enjoyable?

This unusual and very humorous book, was made even better by the reader. His fast pace
matched the "speed" with which the story zipped in and out of decades. Excellent.

What other book might you compare The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared to, and why?

Nothing I have read so far but look forward to finding something as captivating and wickedly funny.

Have you listened to any of Peter Kenny’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Not yet, but intend to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No! This is too good a book to do in one sitting. Like a really good cognac, it should be savoured in small quantities. Besides nothing in my library at present is as good as this.
