I thoroughly enjoyed this poignant tale of how a tragic head injury affects two people not to mention their families. it is very well narrated and totally easy to follow. I sped through this book absolutely wrapped up in the gentle drama.

A story which at first I couldn't discern whether it was a fantasy fiction or a serious tale, or exactly what era it was set in, this book as it wended it's way through start, middle and finally end endeared itself to me like the meandering river it is set around. I grew to love this story as it revealed itself with every twist and turn and surprised me at each different reach of its flow. a very clever book.

An incredibly interesting book by a very talented lady . Thoroughly recommend it. Michelle Obama is also easy to listen to as she narrates her work.

At first I kept falling asleep due to the narrator's low quiet monotone but I persevered and was rewarded by a haunting never-to-be-forgotten story that I am sure I will revisit in the future. A wonderful book.
