After finding out that the majority of reviews are fake, I decided to find a book that I liked the sound of, read no reviews and just give it a go.

Well this was a good choice. Really enjoyed the book, not going to spoil it but the way the murders took place I guessed it but still looked forward to finding out.

Really liked the narrating too and would read another of his books :)

I purchased this book yesterday and finished it today, I could not put it down as I wanted to get to the part when this horrible, horrible man Barry finally got caught and jailed. It was absolutely heart breaking and my heart goes out to all the young boys effected by this, and all other abuse victims, it truly does.

This family has had its fair share of heart break and at times I had to hold back tears. I see the photos of him as a young boy and my heart breaks for him and I cannot believe the things this little innocent boy had to go through .......

I also cannot believe that his parents would let their 10 year old little boy, sleep at the house of a man they had only known for 3 weeks....a grown man and for a whole weekend!!!! Who does that???? Not only that, evey weekend thereafter, school holiday and xmas' too. Its just unbelievable and I cannot believe ANY parent could be ok with that.

Didn't they want to spend time with their Son Andy, see him at Weekends and on School Holidays or even at Christmas!!

Even if Andy begged and pleaded 'Mum, Dad, Please please can I stay....' I cannot believe thay allowed this weekend after weekend, school holiday after school holiday and every xmas' too.

Andy doesn't say that he blames them, but I'm sorry I certainly do. They basically gave him to Barry.

Deeply annoyed at myself that I listened to reviews...AGAIN to help me decide on a book.

This was a book of childhood memories. Sometimes, as children, we distort the truth and I think alot of this has been over exaggerated.

Not worth a credit or the time wasted on reading it.

Excellent Read!

After a few very bad choices I've made on books from listening to customers reviews, which I have now found out were fake, it was a relief to finally come accross a decent book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! I don't normally do this, but as the characters were real, I googled their image so I could put a face to a name and found this worked wonders.

I held back from googling the real story incase it spoilt my read but having finished the book about an hour ago, I have been catching up with the news on these dispicable people.

I was just looking to download my next read and as always I read the reviews.
Liking one of the reviews, I clicked on the person to see what other stuff they listen to.....
I took note of some of the other books they read thinking I may like them and did this again for another reviewer just so that I can look at different books i would not necessary read......

THEY READ THE EXACT SAME BOOKS AS THE OTHER AND WROTE SAME REVIEWS !!!!

Did this again to another random review

AND THEY HAD READ THE SAME BOOKS AND REVIEWED THEM

I did this approx 8 times and each seperate person on different days that had reviewed the book had all read and reviewed the EXACT same books as the other random people. So when it says eg. 521 5* reviews, its bollocks!!

I feel lied to!! This is fake!!

Stick with it!

My Mum read the book and totally raved about it so I downloaded the audible version. It took me a few chapters to get into the book but I am so glad I stuck with it.

Jessie Burton narrated it perfectly and had such a lovely voice and I found myself not wanting the book to end.

Mum has just purchase the DVD from Amazon and said it was just as good as the book so looking forward to watching it too!

Really loved this book and Rhonda Byrne has the loveliest voice along with Lisa Nichols whom I thought sounded like Beyonce.

After the first chapter I began to feel so much better and positive about everything. As soon as it finished I started it again!

I am sorry Patricia but Detective Lottie Parker just absolutely grinds me.

1. She is a terrible excuse for a Mother
2. She is a terrible excuse for a cop and a detective at that!

In both Book 1 and Book 2, two people die that if she had done her job properly, immediately, they wouldn't have died.

In book 1 - Sean is in trouble
In Book 2 - Chloe is in trouble
Will Katie be in trouble in book 3???????? Probably

Then there is her and Boyd's relationship???? they dont bloody have one at all.
Parker Boyd Lynch and Kerby are the worst team ever!!!

Oh and another thing.......the narrator speaks in her lovely Irish accent, so WHY the NEED to pronounce the Kosovo names in a Kosovo accent EVERYTIME they need to be mentioned is just so annoying, just say it in your normal blo0dy Irish accent!!!!

I dont suddenly turn Turkish everytime I mention my Turkish mates name in a conversation.....Arrrghhhhhhh

As you can see these 2 Books have left me extremely worked-up that I now need to listen to a chick-flick one to calm back down.

DONT WASTE YOUR CREDITS PEEPS!!!!

Wanted to scratch my eyes out!!

If ever there was an award for the worst voice reader, it would go to here for me.

I struggled beyond words to keep listening as her voice annoyed me so much I could scream but saying that it was on par with the actual crap story which just droned on and on going off the road of the actual story.

Nobody has an ACTUAL name
Her boyfriend is called 'maybe boyfriend' - then its maybe boyfriends Mum, or maybe boyfriends friend etc
the sister is called sister 1 or sister 2 and then her boyfriend would be called sister 2's boyfriend or brother in law 1 etc you did not connect with any of them! Even her name was 'maybe girlfriend'!!

The constant "we said, she said, he said" or "you could not give 50% or 30% or 10% you could give only 5% "
- who gives a shit about the many percentages you couldn't give just say " you could only give 5%" and leave it at that.

Aarrghhhh I stopped at the first chapter and felt I could not go on. A few days later I pushed myself to read more kicking myself at wasting my monthly credit so i kept saying it could actually get better.....

It didnt and had to stop after a few more chapters.

I will never ever get the time back wasted on this book!
