CrossFit trainer Ben Bergeron has helped build the world's fittest athletes, but he's not like other coaches. He believes that greatness is not for the elite few; that winning is a result, not a goal; and that character, not talent, is what makes a true champion. His powerful philosophy can help anyone excel at all aspects of life. Using the dramatic competition between the top contenders at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games® as a background, Ben explores the step-by-step process of achieving excellence and the unique set of positive character traits necessary for leveling up to world-class. The mindset and methodology that have produced some of the greatest athletes in the world's most grueling sport can work equally well for golfers, lawyers, artists, entrepreneurs - anyone who's willing to commit totally to becoming better than the best.

Whilst I appreciate the athletes, I'm not really into Crossfit, but thought I'd give this a try on the reviews and for the mental/mindset background.

Was a bit disappointed ...... to me crosscut athletes are a little on their own, as in their are super motivated. This book highlights the coaches relationship with his athletes, so if you're into Crossfit, you'll probably enjoy it, to me I got a bit bored and uninspired .... it's not really transferrable to 'everyday people' - highlight being a discussion around the structure one of his athletes has over the year .... giving herself 2 cheat meals in a year ...... yeah right!

Have listened to a lot of motivational and mindset books, and whilst Ben is obviously great at his role, there's a lot more, better 'general' mindset and improvement books out there

First off it's great for a doc/GP to be showing interest and suggestions in something more than medication.

Each fo his topics are valid and the content good, but if like me, you've researched a lot already in the mindset, nutrition and journaling field, you won't take much from this.

Didn't last too long, went over the topics and gave up 1 hour in....... as said great if you haven't read much in personal development, but if so, wouldn't bother

Really is not a lot of content to take away and use......I'll give credit to the only one I took ....

Need to get something done, with no distractions? Take your laptop to a coffee shop of similar, but NO charger .... you then hvae however long/much battery charge your laptop has to complete ...... not bad, otherwise, returned this book!

The book starts talking about how it's packed with usable. Info for controlling situations via nlp, persuasion, mindset etc and the reviews back this up.... Have I missed something?!

Ive researches a little On nlp but a lot. Around mindset and alike and this touches lightly on a bit of everything without really giving much away?

'when entering a room stand tall and occupy as much space as possible' was the tip on gaining respect when entering a room?! Obvious?!

Listened to the whole book as short but personnally didn't take anything new away and felt it never got going or delivered on the open day promise of supplying what's needed

I've read a few books on mindfulness, neuroscience and studied a year long course on the latter, so thought I'd get Ruby's take on it as the rating were good!

I couldn't last more than an hour - yes she's got her 'way' of explaining and talking about things, but man my mind was the opposite to being mindful, it was been washed and crunched all over the place by her inane references and chit chat - it may well have got better but to me this subject is about calming and slowing down, being more focussed and I was far from able to with this book!
