I found it to be a travelogue about Australia and the aboriginals than a detective story. Dull

Well played!

Having had breast cancer myself I have rarely come across a better description of what it really is like!
I'm impressed and wondering if I should try her other books?
The story is a bit sappy and predictable but I had many tears throughout as she nailed it in many places!

nowhere near as good as Little Lies

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

anyone who likes a bubblegum book

What could Liane Moriarty have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

just found the whole story unbelievable and annoying - in Moriarty's other books I find her mentally unstable people way more understood and as if she has really researched ... this not so much

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I just think another narrator instead of the same for all her books might be a good idea!

What character would you cut from The Last Anniversary?

none

Any additional comments?

Little Lies is an amazing story ... and I have now read all her books but this is just not as good as any of them

fantastic!!!

What did you like most about The House We Grew Up In?

that all families have stories - that we all encounter "stuff"!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really liked Lori Ley (sp!) - I don't "like" her - but I thought she was portrayed fantastically and listening to her tell her side of the story has really made me think about my own relationship with my mother!

What does Karina Fernandez bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

oh she is just amazing - I can't believe how she goes from one accent to the other - amazing ... one of the best!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES - which was a problem cause I didn't really have the time and still I found the time because I ... Just ... Had ...To ... Know :)

Any additional comments?

best audiobook since "The Goldfinch" ... this one will stay with me for a long time!

horrible book!

What disappointed you about Gone Girl?

everything … the story is pathetic ...

What was most disappointing about Gillian Flynn’s story?

I guess the hype … I seriously thought it was going to be an amazing story having heard so much about it and it now being a movie - the whole thing was seriously unbelievable

How could the performance have been better?

totally different narrators … hated listening to them both

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

nope

Any additional comments?

there are so many great books out there - this really isn't one of them

wonderful wonderful

Would you listen to A Prayer for Owen Meany again? Why?

I would listen to Owen Meany again and I plan to. I read this book many years ago and was delighted to see it on Audible. To listen to it was so pleasurable and delightful. The narrator is really really good. Now I am looking for everything else he has done!

What did you like best about this story?

Owen Meany is the heart of it and the ending is just so surprising, I was on the edge of my seat and so affected for days.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It certainly made me cry.
