If you could sum up Overcome Social Anxiety and Shyness in three words, what would they be?

This book has really helped me in a very practical way. It explains why and how social anxiety develops and then lays out a clear step by step practical plan for gaining confidence in real life situations. I found it excellent and keep referring back to the book and the accompanying PDFs as I do each exercise (the PDFs are an excellent resource). Also lent it to my friend's daughter and it has really helped her and made a huge difference in her first year at university.

What does Dr. Matt Lewis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Excellent explanations of the evidence and also personal anecdotes and stories.

He is one of the most beloved athletes in history and one of the most gifted men ever to step onto a tennis court - but from early childhood Andre Agassi hated the game. Coaxed to swing a racket while still in the crib, forced to hit hundreds of balls a day while still in grade school, Agassi resented the constant pressure even as he drove himself to become a prodigy, an inner conflict that would define him. Now, in his beautiful, haunting autobiography, Agassi tells the story of a life framed by such conflicts.

Every life is both ordinary and extraordinary, but Logan Mountstuart's - lived from the beginning to the end of the 20th century - contains more than its fair share of both. As a writer who finds inspiration with Hemingway in Paris and Virginia Woolf in London, as a spy recruited by Ian Fleming and betrayed in the war and as an art-dealer in '60s New York, Logan mixes with the movers and shakers of his times. But as a son, friend, lover and husband, he makes the same mistakes we all do in our search for happiness.

What does Mike Grady bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The narrator is superb, giving a really authentic voice to Logan Mountstuart. Just as I imagined he would have sounded like, only better. He portrays other characters in the book very well with different accents and captures the changing tone of the main character's voice as he gets older. It really is a brilliant performance.

Any additional comments?

I first read Any Human Heart in 2002 in a book swap, not long after it was first published. I knew nothing about it, I hadn't even read the blurb. It sounds like a book I shouldn't like - the diary of a privileged public schoolboy and who at first glance seems self centred. However, once I started it I just couldn't put it down, and after a while it's difficult to believe you're reading about a fictional character, despite his many serendipitous meetings with many historic figures. It quickly became my favourite book of all time and is still very much top of the list. I've enjoyed many other William Boyd books since, but this is still his very best in my opinion.

I have since recently listed to the book via Audible and it's just as good as I remember it. The narration is superb, just as I imagined the main character would sound like, it added to the book I Loved.

Highly recommended.
