Good second novel in this series with plenty of suspense and some twists in the tale. Recommended especially if you know the Broads.

Excellent further contribution in this series. As one story finishes another begins, as always, but plenty of tension and gripping to the end

Very contemporaneous despite the setting. Gripping and lively. Good read and well delivered (some accents apart!)

Good story line although gruesome theme. Well read and finale is tense and fulfilling despite some predictability. Enjoyable and gripping

I always have enjoyed this series of books but never experienced it through audiobook. I was not disappointed - it kept me gripped to the end!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was a distraction to daily life but very remote from my experienced reality!

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Although this is part of a series it does stand alone however it does contain extremes of violence that was personally challenging

What about Luke Daniels’s performance did you like?

Calm delivery and good use of tonal quality for different voices

Did Taken inspire you to do anything?

Not really

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the first book in this series which I purchased from Audible. I am not sure that this encouraged me to complete the whole series!

Would you consider the audio edition of Natural Causes to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed the audio edition because the narrator added a measure of realistic context. The print version was good to be able to find parts that you had 'missed' in narration when concentration lapsed

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the setting which gave a real feel to life in a Scottish metropolis

What does Ian Hanmore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I find his accent to be valuable in adding character to the text

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really - I don't have the free time available!
