Well narrated by Rory Kinnear. David Nicholls had teenage angst down to a T, well written and humorous, had me laughing out loud. There was a sad undercurrent to the story though. Definitely worth a listen to

Really enjoyed this depiction of how social media and caring what people think takes over so many people's lives nowadays. I know how Sally felt being childless and the insensitivity of people who don't have a clue of what's gone on in her life. All the characters were totally believable and I'm glad there was at least one decent man!
Thank you Kerry for making the mundane so interesting!

What an amazing story I never knew about. So so sad and horrifying but told in a beautiful way. Narrated well and the storyline kept me transfixed.

This kept me gripped right to the very end, and when you think it’s all over...it isn’t!

Not a bad storyline but I think the swearing was a bit overdone and I’m not a prude by far! I suppose it matched her character.

The story was an interesting one depicting the complex relationship between sisters with good descriptions of the sea but the narrator spoilt it for me. Her breathy, woeful way of speaking was incredibly irritating and I only kept listening because of the story itself

Was quite hard to keep track of all the different connections and bit far fetched sometimes (they all seemed to have survived an awful lot of injuries!) but I did enjoy the series and recognised a lot of Spain in the later years. Guzman was oddly likeable despite his brutality

A brutal novel delving into Spain’s horrific history that should never be forgotten. The characters were oddly appealing despite their brutality, Spain described very well in all three of the storylines. Nigel Carrington narrated different voices extremely well, he acted them all out brilliantly but I soeak Spanish fluently and his Spanish accent was truly awful!! Why oh why didn’t he learn how to pronounce the Spanish inserted in the text (probably too much for non Spanish speakers). It shows how fascinating the story was that I kept on listening through this irritation.
