This is just perfect British humour. And you might just learn something while having fun.
Though I was a bit disappointed that there was no mention of the lack of genetic diversity in bananas. That is a very interesting story all on its own.

This is a really fun story

I really enjoy this story. I think this book is even more exciting than the first one and Emily Beresford is still doing an excelent job reading it.

This is well written fun and exciting story. There is really nothing new or briliant in the story as such, it is just good consistent writing with humor and a decent plot.

I like this book for the exciting battels and surprises but comparet to other books by David Weber the people are very one dimentional in this story. Politicians are always and compleatly bad. Military people are always good and never makes mistakes unless they are missing information, and they are ALWAYS compleatly selfsacrificing. (I'm not exaggerating here)

If you can ignore this and just want some good space battels it is still a good book.

Good story, but very political.

This is a scify/alternate history retelling of our recent history on a new planet. There are two points that makes this book stand out.

1. The author obviously knows a lot about military leadership and organizing troops. His descriptions of this is very interesting and engaging.

2. The author is probably very right wing and seems incapable of understanding liberal thinking. Whenever he tries to introduce a liberal bad guy it seems more like a straw man, to take pot shots at, instead of a real person.

All in all I think it is a rather well written book, but some people will just want to trow it out the window whenever they start talking politics.

Good second book

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is as the first book in the series a very well written action book. It has lots of ass kicking and demon slaying spiced up with lots of humor. This part of the story is very well written and keeps you hooked all the way trough. The book also has some discussions of the nature of faith and identity that are interesting but they are not quite as sharply written as the rest but they can still make you think.

Have you listened to any of Liv Anderson’s other performances? How does this one compare?

The book is very well read. Each person has his or her own voice fitting their personality.
