love the modern take on the gothic ghost story. brilliant work on genre mix. lovely set of narrators. I'd love to find out what happens to Harbinda. If she finds her match, whether she stays mates w Claire. just lovely💜

enthralling. scary. spectacular build.
climax unfortunately flat. coming full.circle is nice but solution to make everyone happy departs from reality where the drama in the lead up doesn't. seems attempt to deliver happy ever after to all characters. meh.

while the story and narrator are fab the quality of the editing of the audiobook leaves something to be desired. background noise (as if noise gate not activated) at times and omissions by the audio editor, like narrator starting sentence, stopping and starting again. 95% there but 5% missing to perfection.
