these stories are so engrossing be it this trilogy or the assassin series. my only criticism is that the characters seem to change, in early readings kettriken was more scandanavian like, whereas this stoeynwas cross French and Spanish, prefer the former, consistency across the books would have been better in both narrator and character portrayal, just my opinion

Return to the world of the Farseers… Robin Hobb’s best loved characters, Fitz , The Fool and Nighteyes the wolf, face new adventures and trials in the first book of The Tawny Man trilogy. When Assassin’s Quest closed, Fitz was living in self-imposed exile. Wracked with pain, he had chosen to discard the magical gifts that had seen him survive the wonders and torments of navigating the legendary city of the Elderlings, and of raising a dragon.

The story I thought was better than book 1 and can not wait to read the last one, hoping its not an anti climax.

The Greek myths are amongst the greatest stories ever told, passed down through millennia and inspiring writers and artists as varied as Shakespeare, Michelangelo, James Joyce and Walt Disney. They are embedded deeply in the traditions, tales and cultural DNA of the West. You'll fall in love with Zeus, marvel at the birth of Athena, wince at Cronus and Gaia's revenge on Ouranos, weep with King Midas and hunt with the beautiful and ferocious Artemis.

I preferred this to the first book, people have commented on the recipes at the end of each chapter I like that not only to try them but is different rather than ploughing into the next chapter. The story is a little predictable in places but I listen while travelling and it provided good entertainment. Like many books it's each to their own, some will like it some will not.
