Absolutely loved The Girl With All The Gifts but got as far as 6 hours to go and just couldn’t take any more! It just goes on and on and on with not much happening! Really enjoyed it to start with but once I found it was no longer holding me I knew it was pointless. Maybe the end is amazing and would have saved it but I just could get there! I wasn’t keen on the last book either so maybe this author should stick to what he’s good at? Sorry but a return for me!

Feel like I’ve been waiting forever for this book and although I enjoyed it I think that this story has now run its course! It’s beginning to feel slightly jaded and as though he has wrung every possible scenario out of the premise!
However maybe the ending will be the start of something new...I hope so!

Always interesting when an author you love starts a new series with new characters. Although I did enjoy this book it’s too early to say whether this series will be as good as the Tony McClean one!
For one thing, I’m not actually sure if I like Con..she’s a bit stuck up for me, even though she’s turned her back on her posh upbringing I still find her quite snotty and annoying. Hopefully she will loosen up as the series develops. Looking forward to the next book though.
Definitely worth a listen if you’re a fan!

I bought this book as it was rated as a spine chilling thriller! It wasn’t!!
Without any spoilers it was obvious to me pretty quickly who the ‘mysterious ‘ 3rd person was but knowing that didn’t spoil it!
I didn’t find it at all creepy but a good story about family and anxiety and how it can take over everything!
However the very end was a massive disappointment to me and pretty much ruined the book! I do wonder whether the author has tried to set up a sequel? Not sure I’d be tempted into that!!

Was so excited when this was released and although I still thought it was great I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as the others! It feels as though it’s getting slightly too far fetched! Koontz always makes you think ‘well you never know!’ But now I’m starting to border on ‘really!!!’
I feel like he’s dragging it out a little too much but only my opinion.

I love Eddie Flynn...more ASAP please 🤗
