As a huge Koontz fan I had become increasingly disappointed with his books over the past few years ( apart from the Jane Hawk ones which are amazing) so I was very excited about this one, which seemed to take him back to his roots!
I still loved it but just felt there was something missing! The ending was all a little contrived and easy...he didn’t exactly say..they lived happily ever after...but...really!
Gutted to once again be left a bit disappointed but still worth the credit!

I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this book as although I’m a fan of the genre (post apocalyptic) I’m not a huge fan of American fiction, especially when narrated with a ‘southern drawl’! However, I persevered and actually loved it! Billy Todd won me over with his no nonsense, tell it like it is ways! Definitely worth a credit and I’m hoping for more from Billy.

Another episode in this ongoing series! I have to say this has not been my favourite..like other reviewers I missed Madame Rose and the slightly supernatural element she seems to bring. However it was still good and worth the credit but I’m left wondering if this series has run its course!

My new favourite author!

Brilliant police procedure thriller! Will they catch the killer in time? Nice to have both male and female leads. Fantastic narration, all in all, well worth the credit 🤗

This one definitely kept me intrigued. I wanted so much to like the main characters and found myself making excuses for them because of all they’d been through, but by the end I decided that actually I thought they were either really damaged or just plain old weird!! Brilliant narration that really brought the characters to life. Interesting to see how the decisions we make can impact on other people’s lives!

Decided to listen to this after starting to watch the new tv series of the same name.
Really interesting story with some (why) changes made by the tv story but good characters and intriguing storyline! Good narration and held me enough to listen all day!! Definitely recommended.

To be honest I did struggle with the first two thirds of this book and did think it was one book too many but the ending made up for that and I’m glad I persevered! It was really satisfying to get a proper complete end. Overall a really good series.

Wish I could give 10 stars!

I first read this book many many moons ago and it started my love of this author! Tbh his latest books have been a little disappointing so I was delighted to find this redone in audio and the narrator was just perfect!
It is such a beautiful tale of love and loss and I always delighted at his his little touches of ‘what if?’
Well worth a credit and once again this back at the top of my favourites 🤗

Overall I enjoyed this book and was hooked on the ‘who dunnit’ aspect! I did find myself rolling my eyes a few times when Jo allowed herself to be blackmailed! Either she had a mental illness or she didn’t..you can’t just switch them on and off!
However despite most of the characters seeming to be completely self absorbed and obnoxious I still listened to the end!
