They say going home is easy, and in all reality, it should be. Just not for me. The small, one-horse town that gave me my roots, that made my soul thrive, is also the place I never wanted to set foot in again. I left everything behind and never looked back. Until now. With the death of the man who raised me, I’m forced to return to Boone. Old wounds resurface, and heartache and loss trump everything once more.

A great story story of rekindling your first love.
Jessie and Jules were HS Sweethearts. They had all these plans until a pregnancy. Jessie basically was a jerk about it and left for College. Jules kept the baby and moved to Cali. Jules returned after 5 years due to her dad's death.
Jessie finds out he has a daughter after 5 years. The story takes us on a journey of love, forgiveness and healing.
The narrators were both new to me. I thought they did a great job.

OMG!!! I so am in love with Jason Clarke. Ladies, he sings in the audiobook. I'm swooning.❤. I am at the end where he is playing piano and singing. I need to figure out how to just snap.the segments with him singing.
The story is amazing as always by Lauren Blakely.
I loved how the characters were in love but didn't know how to act on it. She was his business partner daughter. They decide to pursue and see what happens. a Singing Vet..
I am glad I bought this one.

This was a cute short listen. Savannah and Billy were high school sweethearts. He broke up with her to go to the Army. The characters were strong and could tell they belonged together.
Kai and Wen were amazing at narration. I could feel or sense the emotions of the characters through their voices.

This is a great storyline. Sam has a cynical view of life thanks to his father. He has a distrust for people especially women. Courtney and her son move in next door. She is a struggling single mom. She seems to fall for him but he doesn't want it. Just a quick lay. They both help each other overcome their problems.
Though I think Ben was the highlight. loved that kid.
The Narrators were great. A joy to listen to.

Erik Anderson is paying for his mistakes and enduring every bit of pain that comes his way. After all, if it weren't for him, the girl who gave him more than he deserved would still be alive. Polly Madison has never had it easy. She wouldn't even know what that looked like. Young and naive, she learned the hard way how vindictive some men can truly be. She's fought her whole life for stability and control, both of which she refuses to give up ever again. When Polly and Erik run into each other in the most clichéd way possible, it shouldn't have meant anything.

This the 3rd story in the Pleasant Valley series. This story is of Eric and Polly. Eric is a son of famous parents who passed when he was young. Polly had a rough upbringing with foster care.
This story takes us on their journey of rediscovery themselves. Learning to find love along the way.
The one thing about Polly I was not liking was her insecurities she used as excuses all the time when this were rough or hard.
These narrators were amazing. Robin during the sex scenes wow.. she was getting into it. Lance has a stong voice and was pleasant to listen to.

This storyline was very pulling in the heartstrings. A love that end in heartache. Jameson hears Gypsy singing at Boomer's Bar. He pursues to as he wants to sign her and her band. Along the the way they fall in love. She still deals from a heartache from losing her husband and son.
Jameson tries all he can to help her. But in the end depression wins.
Even though I knew the book wasnt going to end on a happy note, I still listened and read it. Kelly is an amazing writer. I can feel emotions pouring out of the pages.
Adam Riley IS AMAZING at the narrations. I could feel emotions pulling from him. How he didnt cry or choke up with the end. I'd be amazed.
this is a must listen.

This is a new Author for me. The book sounded amazing so I hopped on to the audio version. How could you pass up the hot voice of Jacob Morgan in your ear. Damn, He really brought Smith to life. He made the made character sound just I had envisioned. He did a great job as well as Mellie's voice. He has once of those voices that can melt butter. Ava Erickson did phenomenal as Mellie. She could make her sound weak and scared as well as strong fearless. Also a wonderful job with Male voices.
The story had me pulled in from chapter one. You have a young gal who was terrorized at age of 17. She has an over protective big brother who seems to keep her sheltered or close to home. she inherits a house from a grandfather she never knew. while there she encounters Smith who is the contractor, remodeling her house. From day one in that town, he is being stalked and terrorized by a couple of men. She turns to Smith for help. He becomes her protector.
He has has fears or monsters from his past. Together they heal each along the way. They find out things from their families past that may have tossed them together..
I could go on and on about this book. However, I think you should read or listen to it.
