This 4th book was the best yet I just love Nell and unit 18. The crossover into JY was well executed bringing in Firewind Never sure about where Soul gets to however? Mum but Ricki Bau has a large part in this book and my favourite romance blissfully blossoms (sigh) perfect πŸ‘Œ I just hate it when it ends. Soulwood is a much softer series than JY and I really enjoy our 🌳 protagonists ❀️❀️❀️

And with each name that is added to those we've lost, my confidence cracks a little more.

Horrific English accent from Pam and Liam sounded like her had had a stroke and Alex 😑😑😑 sounded like a bad impersonation of Scooby do if I wasn't so invested in the series I would return it ... Up until.now I have enjoyed listening to these books but this was a drag .... The story was a typical Tracker Demon scuffle with RA and her crew a sad end made sadder by the horrific narrator

For those who have lived outside the 'click' of the popular what ever your age you will feel such empathy with Lena ... You cannot help but fall in love with Ethan and Lena and their outcome as well as the supporting characters! So much better than the film which doesn't really do the book as much justice as it should.

With her career, live-in boyfriend and loving family, Piper Kerman barely resembles the rebellious young woman who got mixed up with drug runners and delivered a suitcase of drug money to Europe over a decade ago. But when she least expects it, her reckless past catches up with her; convicted and sentenced to fifteen months at an infamous women's prison in Connecticut, Piper becomes inmate #11187-424.

At first I bought this audio book to get the truth behind the Netflix series I was watching. There are few similarities other than the title. I expected Piper to be as she is portrayed on TV but she is far from being such a narcissist and so self absorbed! Thankfully! This is a story that delivers the true meaning of life no matter where you are what mistakes you have made what religious beliefs political beliefs and any other beliefs you have that no matter what life throws at you we have a choice .... A choice to embrace our humanity it a choice to drown in self loathing and pity. Piper's story is one of extreme however the message us clear to me no matter what you can choose your attitude. You can forgive so you are not consumed by anger / hatred / self pity or you can be all consumed by these... Giving is better than receiving and that when the world falls apart if you are lucky to have a family then embrace them with every second you have because you never know when you will not have that comfort we all take for granted

I felt I was in prison with Piper I know her fellow in mates and what she went through is a nightmare I cannot begin to imagine but this book is written with such grace as to underline and highlight the state of the US federal prison service. It's enlightened me in many ways young old rich poor black religious agnostic ... We are one and whether we like it or not we are on this journey together ... Thank you Piper Kerman
