Melanie is a very special girl. Dr Caldwell calls her 'our little genius'. Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite, but they don't laugh. Melanie loves school. She loves learning about spelling and sums and the world outside the classroom and the children's cells.

Didn't know anything about the story just downloaded on a whim starts off interesting enough but soon twists down a path of weirdness that wasn't exactly to my taste.

No spoilers but the ending is chilling and made me think what's the point.

Narration excellent from Finty

Very detailed and an interesting story.
I found the lead character a little too good at what he did with almost zero flaws which leaves you thinking yeah right.

Saying that I enjoyed the chase and the various directions it takes you.

Very stereotypical American view of the muslin world which whilst i didn't find uncomfortable (it's a book) could I suspect offend the more sensitive listener.
