I was surprised at how the story climaxed and ended in a good way, that it kept me fix on every word to the end. It got quite emotional at times which just shows you how well Brent makes you care for the various characters and the challenges they go through and overcome.
A great original fantasy epic that I recommend to all.

Mandatory reading for all seeking balance, meaning and peace in their lives.

Would you listen to Kingdom Blades again? Why?

Yes, because the story is detailed and the narration is awesome. I have actually re-listened to Book 1,2,3 while waiting for book 4. I will most likely re-listen to all 4 books before book 5 comes out.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Kingdom Blades?

The way enemies become friends and the paths to forgiveness for characters. Also the vastness of the warlocks existence....

What does Nick Podehl bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Nick brings colour and so much personality to the characters. Truly fantastic.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Magnificent epic.

Any additional comments?

When the next book coming out? i can't wait.

What made the experience of listening to Skin Game the most enjoyable?

The action scenes and character of Harry. This book pulls more on the emotional strings and shows how Jim Butchers writing skill has matured in the same way that Harry Dresden has.

What other book might you compare Skin Game to, and why?

The Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison. Similar but with a Woman protagonist, that is a witch/detective. Also fun to read/listen to.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The scene with Maggie which was very emotional and the scene with Hades was just awesome.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

All emotions are covered in this book. You really feel for Harry, but you just know that he is somehow going to make it. The only worry you have is who will be hurt or killed that Harry cares for.

Any additional comments?

James Masters is perfect for the Harry Dresden series and is a great narrator. This book and all the other Dresden files are a lot of fun.

Firstly I have to say the book is fantastic. I do prefer Peter Joyce to to Pete Bradbury, mostly because I have got used to his voice in the first and second book. If all books were naratored by Pete Bradbury there would be no complaints. The production company of the recording is to blame for not following through with the pronunciation and tones used by the previouse narrator. Oh well, perhaps Peter Joyce was not available, or had a sore throat..!

But do not let the other reviews put you off. If like me you love this story, you will presirvier and listen to the whole story regardless of the narrator. . Pete Bradbury's voice does give the story more of a frontier western tone, but he still does give the characters personality. He is a very good narator, a professional in this field.

The story is great and continues to impress the brilliance in story's unfolding of the main characters paths.
