Extensively researched, entertainingly written, and wonderfully read; it is constantly interesting - another classic from the pen of Bill Bryson. It is a different style from his more conversational books - more facts and less humour, but you can feel his passion for the topic and his joy in sharing so many mind-popping facts with us.

I have just listened to all five pantos and all are very well written and produced. There are very catchy songs, a smattering of cheeky jokes and each show is a joy to listen to. Some younger listeners will not know the actors or the people referred to in the jokes, but it shouldn't make them any less enjoyable. If you like visiting the panto with your family you'll enjoy sharing this too.

I am getting older. We all are. Dick shares stories and life experiences which I found to be both entertaining and useful. I'm doing a gentle jig whilst writing this review. I advise you to do the same. I sped the voice us to 1.25 which sounds better. Enjoy.

Matthew's book is an interesting mix of.facts. It is a book which he has written to build his own brand. But that doesn't distract from it being a worthy addition to your audible library. You will share some of the facts with your family and friends, guaranteed. I couldn't help myself.

Nicely drawn characters take to the stage in this beguiling drama. The story is well crafted and the descriptive text is very good. Narration was good and a couple of the voices were like an impression of Alan Bennet and Peter Kay's Geraldine. I will listen to more of the DCI Ryan series.
