I quite enjoyed this romp through the 50's. Nothing hectic about it. The characters were " proper". my only criticism, and a very slight one , is the mention of No smoking in context of the old music hall act, the reader should have pronounced the name as Nosmo King! The gentleman in question had to choose a new name as someone on the bill had the same name as him so he saw the no smoking sign and a new act was born!😁

Every kind of human emotion is covered here. A lovely tale of family life, with all its ups and downs and emotional problems. I really enjoyed the story and the narrator

this author is new to me and I thought I would give it a go as it is set in an area I know. I really enjoyed it, the Charactre are interesting and believable. I look forward to the next in the series.

overall I enjoyed this audio book but the breathy woman's voice did grate on me. I like the fact the story is set in Somerset, good to relate to the area.

I love the Bryant and May books, they are full of London's history. The Charactre come to life and I have become really fond of them.
This story follows London Pubs, the plot is always well developed.
Give the series a go, from book 1

I would give this audible book 10* I would. It has to be one of the best I have listened to. The reader was magical, the plot gripping and I couldn't turn it off. A great story writer!
